Serves 9
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or your favorite meat)
- ½ bag frozen green beans
- ½ bag frozen carrots
- ¼ bag frozen corn (or fresh ears)
- ¼ bag frozen peas
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 lbs potatoes
- ½ cup milk
- ½ stick butter
- 3 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp seasoning salt
- ½ tsp parsley
- Salt & pepper to taste
How I Make It:
- Boil potatoes until they’re tender, then mash with milk, butter, and sour cream until smooth and creamy.
- In a skillet, cook the ground meat with seasonings until browned and flavorful.
- Sauté the vegetables with garlic, onion, and seasonings until tender.
- Mix the beef and veggies in a greased baking dish, then spread mashed potatoes on top.
- Add a generous handful of shredded cheddar and then cover with stretched crescent roll dough.
- Bake at 375°F for about 12-15 minutes until the crescent rolls are golden and crispy.
My Tips:
- Feel free to switch up the veggies — carrots, peas, or corn are my go-tos.
- Want a lighter version? Try lean ground turkey or chicken.
- Serve this comforting dish with a fresh green salad or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
