Celebrate the 4th of July: A Taste of History, Food, and Festive Coffee

Posted by Sarah Roudebush on

As fireworks light up the summer sky and flags wave proudly in every corner, the 4th of July is more than just a day off β€” it's a celebration of American independence, tradition, and gathering with friends and family. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ, enjoying a quiet morning on the porch, or crafting the perfect patriotic picnic, we’re here to help you celebrate in flavorful fashion.

4TH of July

A Brief History of Independence Day

The 4th of July commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, when the thirteen American colonies declared their freedom from British rule. John Adams envisioned the day to be celebrated with β€œpomp and parade… bonfires and illuminations,” and that vision still holds strong almost 250 years later.

Today, Americans celebrate with fireworks, parades, music β€” and of course β€” plenty of food and drink. It’s a day where history meets hospitality, and we’re serving up recipes to help make it deliciously memorable.
