Use and Care
Sharpening and Honing
Regular maintenance on Wolf Gourmet cutlery allows the knife to make effortless cuts for many years. We recommend honing the knife once every two weeks to realign the edge and prevent injuries. If sharpening is needed, use a whetstone, knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
Cutting Surfaces
The cutting surface can affect the lifetime of Wolf Gourmet knives. Always cut on a bamboo, hardwood, or NSF certified polymer cutting board. Avoid hard surfaces such as metal, granite, marble, and glass. Those surfaces can damage the edge of the blade. Never cut through bones with the knife as this will damage the edge.
Cleaning
After every use, clean the knife with hot, soapy water, and a soft sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent water spots from forming. Never wash in the dishwasher. Always hand wash Wolf Gourmet Cutlery after each use. Never use cleansers that have a bleach or citrus extract as this can cause damage to the blade. Never soak the knives in water for any period of time.
Storage
Proper storage of Wolf Gourmet Cutlery helps them to stay in pristine shape and it prevents injury. We recommend storing the knives in a knife block, in a drawer with blade guards, or a sheath. Make sure each knife is completely dry before storage. Never place dirty or wet knives inside the knife block.

Wolf Gourmet warrants their cutlery to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, commercial use, failure to follow use and care instructions, or damage caused by negligence, accident, abuse, misuse, unauthorized service repair, or alterations. Minor imperfections and discolorations are normal and are not considered defects. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the appliance, or the gift recipient.
