Use and Care
Cleaning after use: Always wash the pan with hot soapy water and a soft sponge after use. Never use an abrasive brush as this can harm the pan. Do not use cleaners that contain chlorine bleach. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storing the pan. Never leave the pan submerged in water for any period or time. For stubborn foods stuck to the pan, use equal parts vinegar and water and bring to a boil. Let the pan cool and then wash with warm soapy water.
Cooking temperature: Cook Viking cookware at a low to medium heat. It is rarely needed to cook at a high heat as Viking's aluminum center is an excellent heat conductor. Excessive high heat can cause discoloration to occur. When frying or sauteing, preheat the pan for 1-2 minutes before adding food to the pan to help minimize sticking. Viking stainless steel cookware is oven-safe in broiling temperatures up to 600 degrees F.
Utensils: Sharp and abrasive utensils will damage the interior of the pan's surface. Always use soft silicone, nylon, and wooden utensils while cooking. Never cut food with a sharp knife inside the pan.
