Capresso Cafe PRO Espresso Machine Overview

Welcome to the new class of state-of-the-art espresso machines from Capresso. The Capresso Cafe PRO is a professional style espresso and cappuccino / latte machine that stands above the competition in its class. Featuring an advanced boiler and heavy duty stainless steel construction, the Cafe PRO maintains the necessary brewing temperatures that other lightweight machines cannot hope to match. This yields much more consistent and enjoyable results. Powerful, commercial-style milk frothing is available to produce fantastic cappuccinos, lattes, breves and more. Two espresso filter holder choices are offered: the familiar double spout filter and also a bottomless filter holder for training and control. Capresso item 125.05.

Advanced Stainless Steel Boiler

Boasting an advanced boiler pump system, the Capresso Cafe PRO is able to deliver properly heated water and steam quickly and throughout the beverage making process. This special state-of-the-art boiler system is made from cast stainless steel for corrosion and scale resistance and is powered by a 1050 Watt heating element and 41 Watt Ulka vibrating pump. The boiler is designed to activate heat whenever brewing is underway to ensure that water temperatures do not dip below the acceptable range for brewing. Translation: really hot espresso!!

User Friendly Espresso and Steaming Controls

The All-New Capresso Cafe PRO Professional Espresso and Cappuccino Machine couldn't be easier to use! The touch button on the right powers the machine on and off and illuminates blue when turned on. The button the right indicates heating activity. When the light is blue, it is operating for coffee production. When it is white, it is in steaming mode. If the light is flashing, the Cafe PRO is heating; if solid, it is ready to use. Simply turn the dial in the middle to the left for espresso brewing or to the right for steaming.

Commercial Style Power Frother

The commercial style power frother featured on the Capresso Cafe PRO provides perfectly foamed or steamed milk to give you the perfect cappuccino or latte. This special wand features many of the same components that the Capresso commercial models have including an articulating wand and a single hole tip for precise control over your foam.

Two Unique Portafilter Choices

The Capresso Cafe PRO is equipped with two stainless steel filter options that allow coffee lovers at any skill level to prepare barista-quality espresso. The heavy-duty double spout espresso filter, designed for beginners, it convenient and easy to use, brewing one or two espressos at a time. The filter's pressurized 2 cup basket helps produce an ideal brew quickly and easily by creating optimal brewing pressure without the need for the perfect tamp or grind size (although this always helps). Ideal for expert home brewers and those looking to improve their barista skills, the Cafe PRO's bottomless espresso filter lets users brew barista style single shots and truly step up their espresso brewing prowess! Unlike the double spout filter sieve, the pressure in this sieve is built up based on grind size and tamp. The bottomless sieve produces a richer, thicker crema and a hotter brew because the espresso has less contact with the heat-leeching surfaces of the portafilter. The unique bottomless portafilter system allows budding baristas the opportunity to analyze their technique and make adjustments by allowing the entire brewing process to be visible to the user.

Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Construction

Capresso does not skimp on quality components inside of its semi-automatic espresso machines. Stainless steel is used wherever possible, including a die-cast stainless boiler, stainless portafilters and baskets, and a stainless steel body. The 15 bar Ulka vibrating water pump ensures authentic crema-topped espresso every time. And the self-locking filter holder makes the portafilter a perfect fit every time. Just insert and turn the filter holder until it clicks. The Cafe PRO's 42 ounce water tank is one of the largest in its class.

Capresso Tips

Capresso offers a full series of special tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your special new machine.

Using your Cafe PRO Espresso Machine - Tips for obtaining the BEST brew:

Full instruction manual for the Capresso Cafe PRO can be found HERE

  • Always use fresh, high-quality coffee, preferably ground right before brewing. This helps to preserve taste and freshness.
  • Use "espresso grind" coffee for pump espresso machines which is finely ground with a similar texture to fine sugar.
  • Store your coffee in a dark, airtight container and leave it in a cool place (cabinet or pantry). Do not store coffee in the refridgerator! Only store unopened bags of whole coffee beans in the freezer and defrost before grinding.
  • Always brew espresso into a pre-warmed cup. This helps prevent the coffee from souring as it comes into contact with the cold cup. This can be accomplished by leaving the cup on the warming platform or by running hot water into the cup before brewing.
  • Always purge the brew head and frothing wand to ensure hottest performance.
  • For best flavor, drink the espresso immediately after it is brewed.
  • Follow all cleaning, maintenance and decalcifying instructions to ensure a great cup of espresso each and every time!

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Always disconnect the plug from the wall outlet and allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives to clean. Wipe down the appliance housing with a damp cloth. (NOTE: Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanser

  • Rinse the water tank, the grid and drip tray regularly with water.
  • Empty the drip dray regularly and clean with hot soapy water.
  • Detach the 2-cup sieve from the double spout portafilter or the 1-cup/bottomless sieve by turning it clockwise, remove coffee residue with a stiff bristled brush. If any coffee particles remain, they can be removed with a pin.
  • If the inner screen inside the brew head accumulates coffee oils, it can be unscrewed for a thorough cleaning using a screwdriver. Ensure it is attached back onto the machine the same way after cleaning.
  • Clean the seal around the brew head with a damp cloth and always keep it clean to maintain the life of your machine.
  • Clean the frothing wand after every use.
  • Remove the tip of the frothing wand and soak in hot water. Clean the threads of the frothing tip with a hot damp cloth. Regularly inspect the opening of the frothing wand to ensure there is no milk build up. Regularly inspect the o-ring of the frothing tip to guarantee its integrity. If there is any damage (rips or tears) to the o-ring call Customer Service to order a replacement. Screw the frothing tip (with o-ring) back on to the frothing wand.
