Use and Care

Blender Base Use, Setup, and Cleaning
Place the blender on a flat, clean surface. Make sure it is dry before use. Be sure to have a power outlet available within two (2) feet of the blender's motor. Also make sure the blender vents at the bottom of the unit are unobstructed so the blender can properly cool during use. 

Before cleaning, turn off the power and unplug the motor base. You can clean the base by simply wiping it with a damp cloth. If needed, the drive socket can be cleaned using a toothpick or cotton swab. Never use abrasive brushes to clean the base. An abrasive brush will cause cosmetic damage to it and this is not covered by the warranty. Never submerge the base into water--this will void your warranty.

Blender Jar Use and Cleaning
Add one (1) cup of hot water and a drop of liquid dish soap to the blender jar. Place the lid on top of the jar and confirm that it is firmly tight and secure. Place the jar on the blender and press pulse for five (5) seconds. If the blender has a clean cycle, press and wait until the cycle is over. Rinse the jar well and repeat if necessary. For long-term sanitation, wash the jar with hot water and 1-2 teaspoons of liquid bleach. Stir for ten (10) seconds and then let the mixture sit inside for five (5) minutes. Empty the jar and let it air dry.

Blendtec Jars are dishwasher safe, but use the top rack only. For cleaning utensils, never use an abrasive brush as they will cause cosmetic damage to the blender jar. Avoid submerging the jar in water for more than five (5) minutes as water penetrating the lower jar seals will reduce the jar's lifetime. Always store the jar upright after cleaning.

8-Year Warranty

Blendtec Blenders are covered for an 8-year period. Blendtec warrants the blender motor to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period. This warranty also includes all moving jar parts and jar assembly which are covered against leaking or breakage during this period. This warranty is covered in accordance with proper use and care guidelines. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, product abuse, damage resulting from accident, commercial use, product tampering, service performed by unauthorized service agencies, and use of accessories not endorsed by Blendtec.
