Capresso MT-600 Coffee Maker
If you're thinking about getting this coffee maker, with the thermos carafe instead of the heated pot--in a word--don't. The thermal carafe leaks. I discovered this only after spending the big dollars on this "great" coffee maker. My leaking Capresso carafe did not stop leaking. Consumer Reports panned this coffee maker as they too got leaky carafe's and were told by Capresso that there was nothing wrong. The clear reality is that this pot leaks like crazy. Still the Capresso thermal carafe leaks. This MT-600 model Capresso coffee maker is useless with the leaking carafe. The coffee is fine but the entire experience is overshadowed by the leaking pot all over the counter and dripping onto the floor if you dare to pour a cup while holding the pot over the floor. Capresso sucks--you should definitely not buy their products

This is not our customer and we did not edit the review; however, his findings are factually incorrect. The carafes do not leak; however, as with all thermal carafes with twist-to-pour lids, you must pour somewhat more slowly than you would with a regular glass carafe. We have found that slowing down while serving scalding-hot liquids is always a good idea.

In addition Consumer Digest just featured the MT600 as a Best Buy in their July/August 2011 publication.

After searching far and wide for the "perfect" coffee maker, I think I may have found it. And it was worth waiting for the new 600 model from Jura-Capresso. A great looking machine, brews coffee quickly and very hot. The thermal carafe is easy to use and does the job of keeping coffee hot. And, most importantly, the coffee tastes great.
