Integrated Conical Burr Grinder
The Krups KM7000 Pro Grinder and Brewer delivers the most flavorful coffee imaginable by grinding your freshly roasted coffee beans just moments before brewing at the optimal temperature. The Krups KM7000 features a professional grade conical burr grinder, which is accepted as the best method for grinding coffee beans. Conical burr grinders spin slowly to prevent overheating of the beans and to preserve the delicate aromas hidden inside all while producing a precise and uniform grind fineness. The grinder burrs are cast from commercial-grade hardened steel and allow you to choose from 5 fineness settings. It is recommend to begin on the coarse setting and adjust the fineness to your desired taste. Additionally, the grinds channel and grinder are sealed after grinding to prevent steam from clogging them during the brewing process.
User Friendly Controls
Brewing freshly ground coffee on the Krups KM7000 is simple with its straightforward control panel. To choose how much coffee to grind, press the Cups button to match the amount of water added to the reservoir (2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups), and press the Strength button for mild, medium, or strong coffee. Move the brew basket to the open (left) position, ensure that a fresh filter is in place, and press the On/Off button to begin grinding. The basket will swing over and brewing will commence automatically. The Krups KM7000 will remember this setting for the next brew to simplify the process. Should you wish to brew using pre-ground coffee such as decaf, add your coffee and close the brew basket and press the On/Off button.
Auto-On Grind and Brew
Program the Krups KM7000 to automatically prepare coffee at a convenient time for you. Following the same method for on-demand grinding, set the time, cups and strength, open the brew basket, and press the Auto On button. As long as you have water in the reservoir, the Krups KM7000 will grind coffee beans and brew at the set time, so you don't have to wait. The KM7000 will remember this setting effectively giving you the option to program 2 different pots of coffee. The Auto On function can be used for pre-ground coffee as well. The non-stick warming plate will automatically shut off after 2 hours for safety.
Special Aroma Button
Press the Aroma button on the Krups KM7000 when brewing 2 or 4 cups of coffee. This will slow down the brewing process to capture the full aroma of the ground coffee.
Krups DUO Water Filtration
The Krups KM7000 features integrated water purification with the Krups DUO Filter. This filter removes impurities and lime-scale causing minerals with its vegetable-based resin. After 70 pots or about 2 months, replace the filter to ensure proper operation.
Easy to Clean
The 10 Cup Glass Carafe rests on a non-stick warming plate that cleans up with a quick wipe of a damp cloth. The anti-drip valve allows you to pour out a cup or two of coffee while the Krups KM7000 is brewing. To clean up the spent coffee grinds, simply remove the included #4 paper filter and toss in the waste basket. You may also choose to purchase a permanent filter to reduce waste.
