Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.©)
The unique two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping. The Jura Impressa F50 Classic's Integrated commercial grade steel conical burr grinder has six settings which allows you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to medium-dark roasts. With the F50 Classic, you can brew one to sixteen ounce cups of coffee in two aroma and three strength settings. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from mild to strong. The F50 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.
Stainless Steel ThermoBlock
At the heart of the Impressa F50 is a stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boiler. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the F50, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the F50's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time.
Integrated Pure Water System (I.P.W.S.©)
The Clearyl Blue filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the machine, causing damage, and altering the taste of the coffee produced. This technology if from Jura's Integrated Pure Water System (I.P.W.S.©). A change filter message will be displayed when it is time to replace the cartridge (about every 6-10 weeks or 14 gallons). The Impressa F50 Classic will also prompt you when it is time to clean the machine, so proper maintenance is a breeze.
Included Automatic Milk Frother
The FrothXpress system helps you to prepare perfect cappuccinos and lattes cup after cup. It automatically siphons milk from your personal milk container, combines it with hot steam and delivers hot, frothed milk into your Cappuccino cups. Turn the dial to the latte setting, and the frothXpress will deliver hot steamed milk with very little or no froth for that delicious Latte.
Dual Frother PLUS
For precise temperature control, or for frothing and steaming smaller amounts of milk (for one or two cups) the Dual Frother PLUS is fast and easy to use. With settings for latte (steaming milk) and cappuccino (steaming and frothing milk), you will be able to prepare your desired beverage in just a short amount of time. Immerse the Dual Frother PLUS into your milk pitcher and push the steam button the bring the F50 up to steaming temperature in about twenty seconds. The F50 will display when it is ready to steam, and you may even use the Rotary Switch to dial in your desired steaming time after which it will automatically shut off the steam allowing you to walk away if you wish.

The Impressa F50 comes equipped with many features you would expect to find on higher priced units. We will name only a few, as the list is very long. The F50 automatically rinses itself upon start-up to prevent that dreaded cold first shot of the day. An auto-sensing bypass doser for pre-ground coffee provides the user a hassle-free method to quickly change to a different flavor or decaffeinated. A 64 ounce water tank, 8 ounce bean hopper, and a height-adjustable chrome die-cast coffee spout ensure cup after cup of uninterrupted beverages, large or small. The LED illuminated brewing surface adds an extra touch of elegance.
