Superior Construction
The Vita-Mix Vita-Prep XL Blender is powered by a 4.2 HP motor that is belt-driven for lower profile blending and even less noise output. The Vita-Prep XL comes equipped with a special cooling fan to help prevent overheating during periods of heavy use. Surrounding the motor is a sturdy ABS plastic body that withstands abuse and is easy to clean. A metal-on-metal drive system connects the motor to the blending container for better durability as opposed to plastic. The Vita-Mix XL comes with a 192 ounce (1.5 Gallon) container and a spare 64 ounce polycarbonate that are both NSF-Certified. NSF certification is very important for restaurants that wish to promote food safety. The 2-piece heavy rubber lid with splash guard locks into place and has a cap on top which allows you to add ingredients while the Vita-Mix XL is running.
