The 5-sided jar, when used with the new 4" blade is the most efficient configuration available from Blendtec as it allows ingredients to bounce off the sides of the jar and back into the blending vortex instead of chasing them around in a circle. Easy Clean-Up
The Blendtec HP3A's blending jar is dishwasher safe (top rack) and can also be cleaned by adding 2 cups of water and 1 drop of dish soap to the container. Hold the pulse button for 5 seconds, rinse, and you are finished!
