- Q: Is Blendtec the same as K-Tec?
A: Blendtec is a division of K-Tec, which was the company name before their blenders became so popular. The name change simply made sense.
- Q: Why does the horsepower rating say "Peak?"
A: Peak horsepower describes the maximum capacity of power that a motor can handle.
- Q: How does a 3+ HP Peak Blendtec Designer compare to similarly labeled blenders?
A: Though Wattage is the most accurate measurement of a household electric motor's efficiency and operating power consumption, Blendtec's competitors promote their products in terms of horsepower. The Blendtec HP3A consumes 1560 Watts, significantly more than the competition.
