Tea and the British seem to be inseparable in our perception of English culture. When Bodum was asked by the British Tea Council to develop a new way of brewing tea, they were rather proud. The Assam Tea Press was dreamed up with the goal to make an innovation in tea drinking, and the Bodum tea-brewing system was born. Boil water while you place your preferred fine loose tea leaves in the stainless steel filter. Pour in the hot water and let steep 3 to 4 minutes or to your preferred taste. Press down the plunger, and the brewing process has stopped with the aroma locked in. No need to remove the filter - no mess - no burned fingers, only the true unforgettable and delicious taste of your preferred tea. The classic Assam tea pot with the new stainless steel filter comes in two different sizes: 32 oz. and 16 oz. of aromatic delight. The Bodum Assam Tea Press in borosilicate glass jug, glass handle, and steel infuser and lid. The clear glass makes the infusion visible at all times, making it a very attractive table piece. Everything can go in the dishwasher; the jug (without the filter, rod and lid) can go in the microwave.

Bodum Tea Makers should never be used on a stove top. Be sure to check the glass teapot for cracks, scratches, or chips before every use. Always stir the brew with a plastic spoon instead of metal as metal utensils can scratch or chip beakers and cause damage.
To ensure the best tasting tea, always use water that is free from impurities. We recommend filtered water for the best taste.
Unscrew the filter assembly and clean the plunger after ever use. Most parts (except copper) are dishwasher safe. J.L. Hufford recommends all parts are hand washed to prolong the lifetime of the teapot.
All Bodum products carry a limited one-year warranty on manufacturer defects. Glass is not covered under the warranty. Proof of purchase must be presented in order to verify warranty coverage. Always retain receipt for future records. Items received with broken glass are not considered defective product. Bodum must be notified of any breakage within five business days after the item is received.
