Whole grains contain natural fiber. Diets containing adequate amounts of fiber help you stay slim and avoid many of the diseases caused by fiber deficiency. The Blendtec Kitchen Mill will give all the good out of whole grains without overheating them and killing the natural microbes lost in processed foods. Whole grains are more nutritious than refined grains. Natural kernels of whole wheat, for example, contain 16 minerals, 10 essential vitamins, and at least 4 other vitamin factors generally found in bran and wheat germ. White flour, however, is refined from the endosperm and consists mostly of starch and a small amount of protein. It contains very little vitamins or minerals. Nutrition experts have joined in praise of the Blendtec Kitchen Mill as a way to use 100% of nature's goodness to improve your health and nutrition. Discover the great taste of freshly milled grains. Try milling different kinds of grains like whole wheat, rye, oats, rice, buckwheat, millet, corn, soybeans, barley, triticale and others. You will be delighted with the results.
The Blendtec Kitchen Mill is made of the highest quality materials. The heart of the Kitchen Mill is a patented, surgical-grade stainless steel, Micronetic© milling chamber. This mill technology offers the most advanced way to mill grain. The Blendtec Kitchen Mill has all the advantages of the old stone mills but none of their problems. There's no gumming, jamming or glazing. Your Blendtec Kitchen Mill will not overheat. Each Blendtec Kitchen Mill uses a 1.8 peak horsepower, 10 Amp motor. The bearings are permanently lubricated and will provide years of trouble-free service.
Making fresh flour or meal with the Blendtec Kitchen Mill is as easy as making your morning coffee. Just dump up to 3 to 4 cups of whole grain kernels/berries (varies on size of kernel) into the top of the unit, choose the texture/fineness of your finished product, and start the motor. You can even adjust the speed to suit your needs. The removable Cyclone Cup removes separates air from the flour and helps to spread it evenly into the 60 ounce Lexan bin.
The Blendtec Kitchen Mill's Micronetic milling chamber consists of two stainless steel parts with concentric rows of stainless steel teeth. These teeth spin within each other at high speed. Grain enters in the center of the chamber and by centrifugal force hits the several rows of milling teeth. These teeth burst the grain into the best flour you've ever used in baking. None of the moving metal parts actually touch so there is no excessive heat. Since the mill has no rubbing surfaces to wear out, cause friction, or get hot, the flour stays cooler. This means the valuable nutrients are not destroyed. The Blendtec Kitchen Mill can can grind any bean, legume, or grain except coffee beans, as long as they are dry. Any item that exceeds 15% oil, or 18% moisture will gum up and block the the mill.
The Blendtec Kitchen Mill comes with a full 6 year manufacturer's warranty on motor and workmanship (U.S. and Canada home-use only). Additionally, the milling chamber and pan have a Lifetime Warranty. The Blendtec Kitchen Mill is also backed by J.L. Hufford's 30 Day Satisfaction Policy.

Begin assembling the mill by placing the F-filter in the side of the mill base. Push the filter into position by pressing it into the slot flush with the housing, and then pull it our about a quarter of an inch to allow air to flow through the motor and draw grain into the milling chamber. The F-filter prevents the mill from overheating and blowing flour out of the side of the mill. The cyclone cup catches any overflow flour and prevents it from escaping the machine. Be sure it is attached to the underside of the motor base every time the mill is used. The grain is fed into the machine's hopper one scoop at a time. Allow the grain to be naturally pulled into the milling heads and let the machine run until the grains are out of the milling chamber. Be sure to never put food or grains with high moisture through the mill as they will cause substantial damage that is not covered under warranty.
The mill can be cleaned using a damp cloth. Running grain through the mill will keep the milling heads clean. The mill is dishwasher safe, but turn off the "heated drying" setting to prevent damage from occurring.
