creating a wide range from recipes from smoothies, soups,
sauces and salsas, to raw foods, pesto, purees and desserts.
“My mother let me borrow
her Vita-Mix, and I have now been using it for more than a
decade. It is an essential kitchen tool in both my home and
restaurant, and I use it daily for creating my signature
dishes such as smoked tomato and buttermilk blue cheese soup
and spicy carrot and almond sauce for my rabbit strudel. I’m
excited about being a part of the Vita-Mix team and working
to educate home cooks on professional style cooking
techniques,” said Symon, Executive Chef and Co-Owner of the
renowned Cleveland restaurant, Lola Bistro.
As spokesperson, Symon will
be educating the home gourmet on using the new Professional
Series through media appearances, national advertising
programs and in-store and trade show demonstrations. He also
provides gourmet prep instructions on the Get Started DVD
and contributed recipes to the cookbook, both of which are
included with the Vita-Mix Professional Series.
Symon and his restaurant, Lola Bistro, were recognized by
Northern Ohio Live Magazine as Best Restaurant and Chef in
northeast Ohio. Known for his “Symon Says Live to Cook”
philosophy, he has also been featured in Michael Ruhlman’s
book, The Soul of a Chef: The Journey Towards Perfection
along with noted professional chefs Thomas Keller and Bryan
Polcyn. |
