We have quite a few customers that will call in and ask what an open box unit means. An open box unit is one that a customer has returned to us during our return policy - 7 days for commercial items and 30 days for home items. We will test the machine, clean it up and certify it to be resold as an open box item. Typically the machines have only been used a handful of times and the customer has returned it for a satisfaction reason, not because it was broken. The reason ranges from I was not expecting the color to look this bold or dim to I just need a easier machine.
