Best of the Best

I know my brother loves coffee and has been eagerly seeking to find the best of the best.  He has found the beans and roast the he likes but now he has moved onto an equally important part of the equation, a coffee maker. I wanted to get him a Christmas gift that he would love so I started searching. I have some friends who have a grind and brew machine but as he lives alone that would not quite suit him as the beans in the hopper may go stale before he could use them. Scratch that idea. I know that Vacuum and French press makers claim to make some of the hottest coffee in the world but I know my brother and tending to a stove may not suit him. So I looked online and from the reviews I read I have found that Technivorm is one of the best drip coffee makers in the world. I found that they are the only coffee maker that can boast the European Coffee Brewing Center seal.  This is a highly competitive seal that in order to qualify they must conform to extremely high quality standards for coffee makers.  It is simple to use and clean, extremely practical in its design and I know he will love the look. I can’t wait to try some of the coffee that comes out of this machine.

Key Advantages of Technivorm

1.       Made in the Netherlands

2.       Much less Variation in brewing temperature due to its design

3.       Optimum Coffee temperature (very high for a drip maker)

4.       Brews in 5-6 minuets

Technivorm Coffee Makers

This thing is imported straight from the Netherlands and made with the best materials money can buy.  We currently have one set up in the office and let me tell you, it is the best cup of coffee I've ever had.  If you're paying 8-10 bucks for a cup of coffee everyday, you should stop and give this machine a try ASAP.  Not only would it be a wise investment and save you a bunch of money, but you'll be getting better coffee in your home than any shop could ever offer.  Stringent attention to detail is given to every machine, as they are hand crafted by the master crafters in Holland.

How do I choose!

Choosing the right Technivorm can be confusing especially when their names are so similar.  I wanted o find a way that could help our customers in deciphering the differences between them. The easiest way to start breaking these down would be to define them by their carafes.  (T) Thermal carafes are the stainless steel containers that keep their drinks warm but do not have a hot plate that continually keeps the container hot.  (G) Glass carafes do have hot plates but will not keep the drink warm if taken off the hot plate. The 2nd major division between theses coffee makers is whether they have an auto drip stop or not.  This is neat feature that will prohibit the brew cycle from dripping into your carafe when the carafe is not seated against the coffee maker.  The 3rd major difference in Technovorms has to deal with the filter baskets: open, half or closed option. This allows for a coffee drinker to opt for a few key features with Technovorms. The closed feature allows for a manual bypass of the brew processes.  This would be used if you wanted to get a cup before the full pot was finished. The half open basket technically for the person who wants to brew ½ a pot and still wants the even consistency that brewing a full pot offers.  This feature is frequently used on full pots to make the whole of the coffee stronger. It slows the extraction and can drastically change the taste. If left open the coffee pot will brew as directed and give you the great cup the all the Technivorms will. I hope this helps clear up some of the differences between.  I will leave the color differences up to you.

Differences Between Technivorm's KBT and CDT

I received this question earlier in the week and thought that it would be best to address it in case others pondered the same question. The question was, "What is/are the dfferences in the KBT-741 and the CDT?" I can honestly say that the major difference between the two units is that the KBT has a square water container and brewing tower and the CDT has a circle water container and brewing tower. The KBT does offer three color options (Silver, Black and Grey), when the CDT only offers the Silver color option. If you ever ponder a question about a unit that you cannot find the answer to, stop your worrying or stressing and email JL Hufford Support at support@jlhufford.com or you can chat with us with the live chat function that you can find to the right of the JL Hufford logo.
