The Kuhn Rikon KinderKitchen items are so totally cute. I purchased the two knives and the snips for my 3 kids. At first my boy wasn’t interested in cooking with his sisters. But once he realized he could make a mess, cut stuff up and eat the end results, he was WAY into. The kids actually have their own system to things. Natalie likes to decorate the food items, get them out of the oven, almost like the “end” girl; whereas Delia likes to read the recipes and put EACH ingredient in a separate clear bowl like she saw on a cooking show once. Daniel LOVES to chop meat, skin chicken, knead dough - anything messy. He WILL help decorate if his sister lets him mix the colors for frosting, for example.

When I visit with my younger cousins, I sometimes am at a loss with what to do with them. They love to play video games and watch movies, but after a while I always pull them away from the television and take them outside to play games. When they finally started to catch on, I realized that I need to up my game and switch out playing outside with making a treat such as cookies. My aunt had never made them sugar cookies before, so I decided that we were going to make sugar cookies and use the Kuhn Rikon Kinderkitchen My Cookie Cutters to make different shapes other than a circle. They loved them! After the cookies baked and cooled, we decorated them with bright summer colors! Now, they want to make cookies every day instead of playing video games.

As a kid it was always my task to peel the potatoes for dinner. I never had the dexterity or caution to use a sharp knife like my mother could so delicately wield so I had to use a peeler. Kuhn Rikon sells the same Swiss Peeler that I used as a kid. Currently they offer it at JL Hufford in 7 colors. With a Carbon steel blade it stays sharp even with frequent use. @ 3.50 each the Kuhn Rikon Swiss Peeler makes this utensil a handy and inexpensive purchase. This peeler is not limited to potatoes but can be used to shave sheer, cut, trim, skin, and shed loads of fruits vegetables and cheeses.

My wife is a big fan of starting traditions. Our first Christmas together she insisted on making gingerbread. We attempted designing the miniature cut outs with sprinkles frosting and candy. Hers turned out better than mine (of course) but it neither of ours turned out to be very pretty. The décor was off balanced, the lines were messy and we really just had a random collaboration of utensils that we used in this project. This inspired me to put some effort into this concept because I know she really enjoyed the time we had together and it would be something she could look forward to the next year. I looked for some cookie cutters and came across the Kuhn Rikon Stainless Cookie Press & Decorating Set with Storage Box. I could not think of something more perfect to get her. Includes 16 different cookie disks, decorating bottle, and decorating spatula all nicely organized in a storage box. We will be able to use this on any pastry that we desire to make fancier. I can’t wait to give it to her!

My mother uses her Kuhn Rikon vegetable chopper almost every day in the kitchen. It is great because you can quickly and accurately slice and dice vegetables with ease. Unlike a food processer this copper allows the user to dice thicker or lar ger slices in a few presses. Its dishwasher safe, requires very little set up and requires no external power. Its sleek quality design cuts vegetables shifting its blades 30 degrees after each press. I know that some vegetable choppers can be hard to press down into your greens but the design in this Swiss chopper is geared to make that motion much simpler. I can’t wait to try making some chunky salsa with this chopper!

I never thought that I would be in the market for a new can opener, after I purchased my Farberware one. It broke on me after less than a year of use! I thought of several reasons, why that one didn't work out. From we just used it to much to I really didn't like that it left sharp edges. I stumbled across the Kuhn Rikon Auto Safety LidLifter. I liked that it had color options and that it stated that it didn't leave sharp edges. I decided to pick on up. It is the perfect replacement! As it claims, it does not leave any sharp edges, so I do not have to worry about the dog grabbing an empty can from the trash can and carrying it around. It has "pinchers" to remove the lid, so there isn't a mess!

I personally hate absoluately hate chopping onions. They are messy, make your hands smell and as always make you cry. Typically while I am crying when I am cutting the onions, I wipe my eye and usually it accidently hits one that has touched an onion and then my eye starts to burn. Needless to say, I would only chop onions once a year. After they were chopped, I would freeze them so I would never have to deal with the mess until I run out. I found the Kuhn Rikon Vegetable Chopper and decided to try it. I knew of friends that have had vegetable choppers, but they didn’t seem to like theirs. It is very durable and makes chopping onions easy. All I have to do is to remove the skin cut it in quarters and then chop it up with the chopper. Now, what use to take me hours, only take me minutes with my Kuhn Rikon Vegetable Chopper.

Are you looking to add some style to your utensils? Then you may want to check out the Kuhn Rikon knifes. These knifes are quality and come in a very cool range of colors. Impress your friends buy setting your table with blades in black, blue, orange, green, yellow, and white! Think of the themes you can perfect with this brand. More importantly, these knifes are sharp, built to last and sold at a great price. Although they do not hold the allure of a popular name such as Wusthof or Shun they compromise with convince. As they are priced so low I do not feel bad when I leave them at a church function cook out or give them away. These knifes are dishwasher safe and will not cost you an arm and a leg to purchase.

When I first saw the Kuhn Rikon Kinderkitchen cookie cutter set, I thought they were the cutest things! I have three cousins all under the age of six and they love making cookies. I bought them this set and they absolutely loved using them. The different shapes give them choices to pick their favorite to use. I showed them that they could also use the cutters for things besides cookies, like their sandwiches. Now every time they have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, they want to use the cookie cutters I gave them. If you have cousins, nieces, or nephews, this is the perfect gift to give them.
