Almond Creme Coffee & Tea Cake

The Invisible Chef Almond Creme Coffee & Tea Cake is the second mix I have tried from the invisible chef line.  The recipe only required a few ingredients outside of what was sold in the box: an egg and some heavy whipping cream.  I found it to be not overly sweet, extremely moist, and very dense. It does not come with the cream shown in the picture on the box but I think that it would be a great addition.  Its prep and bake time is under 30 mins so it makes an ideal coffee snack for unexpected company. It is my new favorite coffee cake.

Yummy Blueberry Pancakes

Since we’ve changed our website, I’ve sat here and have been looking at the Invisible Chef Waffles and Pancakes mix thinking, “Oh my. Those look good!” I finally bought a box yesterday and made myself some blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Let me tell you, they were amazing! Usually with store bought mix, for some reason my pancakes always turn out flat and not fluffy at all. These were so fluffy and two of them filled me up! This isn’t one of those “Just add water” mixes, you have to add 1 tablespoon of melted butter, half cup of milk and 1 egg. You have to try this pancake mix! I haven’t tried any flavor other than blueberry, but I am sure that they are just as great!

SIGNATURE FOOD

Mom runs a catering business and is always looking products that are fast, easy, delicious and can insure that her signature foods stand out from any other local option her potential customers can find in town.  Also, it is important to find cost-effective ingredients that won’t jack up the catering fees. She does a lot of weddings, luncheons and official meetings. I found the Invisible Chef products on JLHufford’s website and asked her to try them. Initially she employed the assistance my nine-year-old daughter to make the Chocolate Truffle Coffee & Tea Cake  item; which attests to the ease of making. She divided the batter into individual cheesecake pans (about 4” diameter). After cooling, she stacked them two-up , used chocolate-cherry frosting in between and a cherry sauce on top. They were VERY beautiful as the cherry sauce looked striking against the almost black hue of the base.  Tastewise the batter merited a very rich and moist cake. The result was - ultimately – a remarkable addition to the usual dessert fare commercially purchased by the church ladies.

Easy, delicious and cheap- task complete!

Wonderful chocolate coffee cake

This coffee cake mix by Invisible chef was one of the simplest cake mixes I have ever made.  For this Chocolate Truffle mix you will need an egg and a little bit of milk or heavy whipping cream.  I made mine with milk and it turned out light and tasty.  I initially expected a very sweet chocolaty pastry that would be more along the lines of a cup cake.  Although this was not completely the case, it still turned out a great tasting treat.  The cake was not as sweet as I expected but I came to find out that traditional coffee cakes usually are not.  It still had a deep rich chocolate undertone.  I am a huge chocolate fan and this satiated my pallet perfectly in conjunction with a great cup of brew.

Cost Effective ELEGANCE

Recently, I went to a church luncheon that was catered by a member. She often does these luncheons “at cost” for the church. The older ladies really love a cold strawberry  ”soup” that was created especially for these events.  I kinda like the strawberry soup. I can eat a bit of it. However, the muffins and scones that accompany the soup are phenomenal. I wonder how she made them. The caterer explained that she gets a lot of her scone & muffin mixes from JLHUFFORD. They are VERY easy to make and cost-effective for a large quantity of gourmet desserts.

Invisible Chef Peppermint Sweet Muffin Cakes

Every year around Christmas my grandmother used to make chocolate peppermint cupcakes.  It was a special treat that all us kids looked forward to. This past Christmas I spent it with the family on the other side and felt like starting a tradition.  All of these years I have been hood winked believing that they were from scratched but come to find out she uses an Invisible Chef Peppermint Sweet Muffin Cakes mix.  It is soooooo easy to make.  I can’t wait to share this treat with the family and I know I will stay hushed about the pre mixed kit to leave the allure of the delight!

Chiptole

If you are looking to add some spice to your life with a little bit of heat, then you should try the Ole Chipotle dip mix and the Cheddar Chiptole beer bread mix! All that you need are a few kitchen staples. I have made both of them many times and I always make the beer bread for Thanksgiving and my family loves it. As for the Ole Chipotle dip mix, I always make sure I have a few in my pantry, so I will always have something to make for an unexpected guest or for a last minute get together!

Ole Chipotle
     1 cup of sour cream
     1 cup of mayonnaise

Cheddar Chipotle Beer Bread
1 (12 oz) can or bottle of room temperature beer

Perfect Waffle Weekend

After a long week, sometimes a late Sunday breakfast is all you need to relax. I love to use the Waffle Pro with the Five of Hearts design. I can make five waffles at once and they are more fun than the plain square waffles! Using the Waffle Pro makes it easy and fun to make breakfast for yourself and others. Waffles take only 90 seconds and I don't have to worry about them burning or being cooked unevenly because it has a floating lid. Also, if a friend or family member likes their waffles crispier, I can adjust the settings to fast bake since it has a Quad Baking System. When I use this amazing Waffle Pro, I always make sure I have a waffle mix to use. My favorite waffle mix is the Invisible Chef Chocolate Chip Pancake and Waffle mix. You can't go wrong with some waffles on a Sunday morning!

Delicious Apple Bread

I am a huge fan of any food item that has apple in the title. They would have to be my favorite fruit. When I went to the apple orchard this year with my family, I was surprised at how many different types of apples were available.  Naturally, I grabbed my favorite kind, Golden Delicious, and went home to bake several apple pies. I have been wanting to try to make an apple coffee cake, but after making my apple pies, I noticed that I ran out of apples. I resorted to looking for a mix online. I came across the Invisible Chef Apple Spice Coffee Cake. It quickly arrived to my apartment and I made it one evening before I went to bed for my morning treat. I could hardly sleep from excitement. When I grabbed my piece in the morning, I put it in the microwave for twenty seconds and took a bite. It was absolutely delicious! I will be buying more of this mix since it has now replaced my cinnamon raisin bread.
