Customer Service - Do we pass the test?

So, my wife was in a car accident three weeks ago. It was stressful enough, but I was incredibly surprised by the process we went through. I've heard all kinds of horror stories about the process of getting a car fixed and dealing with Insurance companies.

I was surprised at the amount of attention and care that was sent my way by all parties involved. It was pretty incredible to feel that sense of security. It made me feel like the money I had spent on car insurance had been well placed. At this point, I feel like every dollar I've spent with the certain company has been worth it.

It drew my attention to our company, JL Hufford. The past few weeks I have been considering what we do and how we do it. I ask myself questions like, "If I were a JL Hufford customer, would I feel like my money had been placed with the right company?"

I started with evaluating our researching experience, our buying experience, our communication experience, and if need be, our returns experience. I wanted to know what it was like to be a customer who first wanted to research a product, buy a product, and then deal with a un-satisfaction or warranty issue.

I found our ::Articles Section:: a great place to get started. With great information about different coffees, teas, and machines, I felt that as a potential customer, there was plenty of information available to help me make decisions. There are plenty of other articles as well to quench any knowledge you might seek. As a potential customer, I felt that if a company could provide me with enough information to make an informed choice, then surely they knew the industry well enough to service me in a satisfactory way.

I then navigated through the website as if I’d never been there. I set out to buy a machine. I wanted to make those “tasty drinks” that the coffee shops made. After reading the articles about the different types of machines I was able to decide that a Super Automatic was what I would want. I was able to locate the machines and make a decision based on customer reviews provided and the machines that fell into my desired price range.

I felt that as a potential customer, it would be nice to talk to someone. Since I work in the office, I know that we have our 1-877-554-8336 phone number available for all customers during the 9-5 business day EST. This would help answer any further questions I could have or to check on the order once it had been processed.

I thoroughly read our ::Returns Policy:: to make sure that everything was worded in a way that was easy to understand and something I could rely on. Sometimes it’s difficult not to feel insecure about what a company will do once they have your money. Will they let me return it if I don’t like it? Will they help me get a repair if it breaks? These are all things that a potential customer like me would want to know.

The answer I came to was, “yes”. I've seen what others offer and I've also seen what brick and mortar stores offer. The thing I keep finding is the dedication to clear communication, absolute honesty, and a dedication to a customer first attitude.

I am proud to represent a company with such a strong reputation and history of customer service. That’s not where we want to stop though. If there is anything we can do for you as our customer or future customer, let us know.

Some local Biscottis

http://www.biscotti-goddess.com/images/history2.jpgThe word "Biscotti" comes from bis and cotti, the Italian terms for twice-cooked or twice-baked. Biscotti is also the generic term for cookie in Italian. Traditionally an Italian classic, biscotti have been baked for centuries. It was the perfect food for sailors who were at sea for months at a time. The biscuits were thoroughly baked to draw out moisture, becoming a cracker-like food that was resistant to mold. Biscotti were also a favorite of Christopher Columbus who relied on them on during his long sea voyages. This week, JL Hufford was given some samples of Biscotti’s from the Enrico Biscotti Company. I have tried Biscotti’s in the past from some main line coffee companies and they have been crunchy and crisp and light.  I think this is the traditional taste perspective on biscottis.  The Biscottis from the Enrico Company did not completely fit this build; they were moister and less flavored.  They did not hold the typical harder consistency that biscottis typically hold.  By no means were they as soft as a piece of bread but they did not require coffee to moisten their  structure.  Over all I enjoyed them. I liked the fact that they did not hurt my jaw when trying  and bite into them; as well as they complemented the coffee that is the flavor did not dominate the drink  with an overbearing taste.
