I really enjoy living in the College Town I live in now. I moved here from a smaller town about 2 hours away. There are so many great things about this town. The people, the events, the school is a top university, there are plenty of jobs. However, there is only one single complaint I have about Lafayette, IN. The tap water is really gross;and the water on campus is even worse. We use a filtering system for our drinking water at the apartment, and my office brings in large water cooler jugs and adds a special "perfect water" mineral replacement. I suppose i'm spoiled at work with the tasty water. None the less, at home, our diswasher is coated with a layer of film that the city water harbors. This isn't JUST a calcium build up, there is a second (or third) ingredient making our dishes look horrible. There is a product that works magic, however for our COFFEE POTS, PANS, GLASSWARE. This is the Urnex Dezcal Liquid.
It works to loosen up the very worst of these lime deposits, and it is food safe as well. At $9 a bottle this is a bargain. It only requires a tiny bit and usually i can soak really coated items overnight for a sparkling shine on utensils and any machine.
