My Favorite Coffee Drink

When I first started working at JLHufford, I refused to try coffee! Now I drink it every morning! It might not be straight black coffee or a shot of espresso, but it is perfect for me! I use my BonJour Lucie Unbreakable French Press, to and do a cold brew with JLHufford’s White Russian coffee. I make sure that I let it sit for a good 24 hours to bring out the entire flavor. I then pour it into my glass, filling it only ¼ of the way full sometimes half way full, it just depends on my mood in the morning. I add half and half, Torani’s Chocolate flavor and Torani’s Vanilla flavor. I always make sure that I am careful, when I add the Torani’s because a little can go a long way.  I never forget to top it off with some whipped cream or add in some ice cubes.  I think that after some time, I will eventually get to drinking straight black coffee, but it will take some training.

Vita-Mix Professional Series 500 Blender - 1710

I own a simple little $20 blender. It has six buttons and it does not make very much, it does not even make things that I would imagine it could make very well. The drinks are foamy and the smoothies are chunky, and you can forget about solid foods. The Pro 500 on the other had puts my blender to shame. It is significantly more expensive but given the fact that they are warranted for 7 years and its phenomenal functionality, makes it a more practical purchase. To speak on Vita-mix’s behalf my grandmother had a Vita-mix when I was a child and she still uses today. I remember that thing from over 15 years ago!

The Pro 500 offers variable speed knob still offers the same signature Vita-mix versatility like many of their blenders with extreme consistency and smoothness, the slower settings being better for more course foods. Secondly, the feature that really sets it above the blenders in its class are its 3 preprogrammed buttons: hot soups, frozen desserts and smoothies. The Pro 500 and its functions make it so easy to follow the recipe book included with the blender. Simply select the recipe and walk away. Although it only has three preprogrammed settings, don’t be surprised at its flexibility such as when you are making peanut butter on your frozen drink setting. This machine has an all new pulse setting that allows for nice customization and is perfect for things like salsa. The recipe book that comes with the Pro 500 is so simple. Pick a recipe, pour in your ingredients and select the preprogram setting and it walk away. The three preprogram button times are 45sec for the frozen drinks, 60secs deserts, and 270secs for the soup. They continually ramp up from low speeds to high and offer the walk away convenience all while being quick, easy and delicious. I never thought you could make so many things in a blender! It will heat soups, literally produces enough entropy to heats the soup in the blender to a steaming point. Finally cleaning them is easy as well. One drop of dish liquid, fill it about half way with hot water and put it on the smoothie setting, 45 seconds later it’s clean.

Big Train Fruit Blast

I have tried my hand at fruit smoothies and have never attempted to make a frozen fruit tea in the past but I doubt they would have ever turned out as tasty as the Big Train Fruit Blast’s and they are relatively healthy. These frozen teas are high in vitamin C, Antioxidants and Caffeine Free and made with real fruit (none of that fake fruit!). This real tea drink contains no high-fructose corn syrup and it being fat free, makes a wonderful and health hot summer day drink! One 32 oz. bottle makes eight 16 oz frozen servings so pretty large drinks. Of the nine tea flavors options I have tried all but the banana and the strawberry and in my opinion the most refreshing and yummy would be Mango Madness.

Blended Ice Coffee- Chocolate Peanut Butter

Only recently (within the past 2 months) have I started to drink coffee regularly and I have been a huge fan of the Big Train products. Although not at all nutritious but extremely delicious Blended Ice Coffee - Chocolate Peanut Butter  has to be one of my favorite frozen drinks ever. I have never had a chocolate peanut butter milkshake before but this would be my closest description of what it would be like. The cool creamy consistency matched with the richness of peanut butter makes this a must try. If you are not a big coffee drinker and would like somewhere to begin, this would be a very easy shift to initiate a life time full of coffee goodness.
