Breakfasts with FLARE

The DISCOVER GOURMET site has such delicious, gourmet foods. My dad has a mild diabetic condition and has to watch what he eats.  He does love his sweets, so he is allowed to eat natural sugars, fruits, or items that are not TOO processed.  He likes breakfast foods  alot, which routinely have way too much processed sugar. My mom uses a whole wheat pancake mix, she found on JLHUFFORD; but I thought I could augment the healthiness of his meal-as well as flavor- by having him try the natural syrups on the sister site DISCOVER GOURMET. Initially I sent him the Acai Black Currant Syrup & the Pomegranate Maple Syrup. It was cool to discover that that neither syrup had ANY corn syrup, or fillers or fake flavors. He mentioned that eating foods like this are more satisfying than blander foods he used to eat.  Regular pancakes with cheap syrup just don’t cut it anymore for him.

Saeco Grind & Brew

Are you looking for a great drip coffee maker that will also grind the beans for you? Then you need to check out the Saeco Grind & Brew. Most customers will call in and ask about Capresso’s CoffeeTeam GS or TS, but let me tell you to spend your money on the Grind &Brew instead. You will eventually end up there anyways, why not save yourself the step? Saeco’s machine withstands a lot of use and abuse, and we can tell you that, because we have had one in our office. The Capresso unit starts to leak, doesn’t keep the coffee hot enough, won’t grind enough coffee, and etc. The Saeco will hold 8.5 ounces in the bean hopper and it also has a bypass built in, in case you wanted to try some pre-ground coffee. The machine will turn off the hot plate after 2 hours, so you will never worry about if you left the machine on.  We haven’t had a customer complain about this unit! So what are you waiting for? Grab your Saeco Grind & Brew now!

Now Where Can I Find That?

Have you read all of our Torani recipes and have no idea on where to buy the flavors? Just check out your local Wal-mart or grocery store and they can be found in the coffee aisle! They are great flavoring to add to any drink. Just watch on how much you put in, because a little can go a long way!

Fast, Easy, Delicious Dinner for Those of Us on the Go

During the week, it can be hard to pull together a delicious meal that will make everyone happy. I decided to try Plentiful Pantry’s White Cheddar Potato Soup, so that I can make an easy, delicious meal for a night when I am short on time. When I started to mix the ingredients together with the soup mix, I decided that I needed to add some bacon and sautéed onions, to bring in some of the ingredients that I add to my homemade potato soup.  Once I had them ready, I just threw them into the pot with my simmering soup. Let me tell you, it smelled delicious and I didn’t know if I would be able to wait the extra 10 minutes for the soup to finish cooking! After I controlled myself to wait the 10 minutes, I put the soup into my bowl and added freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese on the top!  Oh was it good! The nice this was, that there were plenty of leftovers, so I could take some to work with me in the morning!

What you will need:

                5 – 6 cups of Water

                Salt and Pepper to taste

                Bacon (optional)

                Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (optional)

                Sautéed Onions (optional)

Make it an Italian Night!

Are you looking for a way to spice up your normal Spaghetti dinner? Why not try, Pasta Partners Meatball Mix? All that you will need is:

                1.5 lb. Ground Chuck

                2 oz. Sausage (optional)

                1 egg

1 package of Pasta Partners Spaghetti Sauce Mix or a jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce

You will also need to set aside roughly 5 to 10 minutes to get everything mixed together, and then another 45 minutes to bake these delicious meatballs. If you don’t know if you will be able to wait the 45 minutes, let me tell you that it is possible! Make some bruschetta to snack on while you are waiting and pop in a movie that will set the mood for your Italian dinner.
