Great espresso and cappuccino December 3, 2014
Reviewer: DRC from Lynbrook, NY United States
I previously owned a 'cheap' espresso maker, poor quality and really never made great anything.   I've been to Italy many times and always longed for the 'real' espresso and cappuccinos that I always have there.   After a recent trip and still having the 'cheap' model I researched many models, their reliability and most importantly, how it tastes when complete.   This, as you will research, has a bit of a learning curve and I'm still only a few weeks in.   You also should get a decent burr grinder and of course good beans to grind.  All 3 of these items are important to make a great espresso and cappuccino.  With all of that said, the product itself is constructed well, there are no cheap plastic parts found in other models.  It weight about 30lbs (if note more).   learning to 'tamp' the right amount of beans and steam milk is all something that one learns.  But once you get it down, I have to say what comes out is excellent!  Just as good as what I drank in Italy.

Excellent Machine December 30, 2013
Reviewer: Dr. Kadri from Sugar Land, TX United States
In the Rancilio line this is the only unit that is sold for the household market. The machine has excellent quality and I have used many expensive several thousand dollar machines in the Coffee shops and this unit compares to them in quality of espresso. Once you give the machine time to warm and run a first cup without coffee the machine will produce the next espresso cup at the perfect temperature. If you keep the machine clean after use it will give you many many years of trouble free service... JL Hufford has perhaps the best overall service and deal on the market, so buy from them!

bombin' barista October 29, 2013
Reviewer: Bob from Columbus, OH United States
Wow, got this as a Christmas gift and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Making the drinks is half the fun with this model. As a novice, I had to mark the inside of my cups so I know when to cut the flow but otherwise this machine offers commercial quality for home baristas! Service at JLH seems to be prompt, also. Must have accessories for me include the knock box and cleaning brush. A stainless steel tamper would be nice, too, if it was available.
