Thank you JL Hufford for quick shipping.  Bought VitaMix brand at recommendation of friends into raw foods.
Pros:  Variable speed dial = HUGE PLUS.  Simple controls, large capacity.  Grinds  nuts into smooth pate for vegan recipes. Comes w/ extra replacement gear & push tool.   Functions like a cuisinart chopping onions & garlic for soups & sauces.  With a VitaPrep you don't really need a cuisinart.  I think of it as 2 appliances in 1Sturdy construction.  Made in USA
Cons:  w/ large load on high speed it SCOOTS across the counter.  I had to hold it down while processing 1 lb of soaked cashew nuts!  Not an issue at lower speeds or lighter loads.
Wish they included the wrench for blade removal. Wash by running on high with soapy water.  For more thorough cleaning I use a toothbrush but may buy the "extra" gear like the wrench and big brush if this cleaning method isn't enough.    
If the VitaPrep lasts a long time it will be a good purchase.

After a couple of hours of research I went with the VitaPrep 3 1005. I am glad I did. You can throw ANYTHING into this machine and it doesn't even slow it down. Right out of the box you can tell it is a substantial machine, in a totally different class than any home blender EVER. AND, JL Hufford is way cheaper with better service than anyone else around. Thanks.
