For several years now I have been roasting, grinding, and brewing coffee in the form of espresso, and capachinos. I began with lower cost machines, and grinders, not quite believing that the grinder was as critical in the brewing process, as any of the other equipment used.
Time has gone by I finally graduated to the Miss Silvia by Rancillio, My shots were never consistent, though I learned to compensate for the grinders shortfall (tamp preasure. grind fineness etc.)
I just ordered the Rocky from JL Hufford, I received the Rocky very fast, (less than a week from time of order)
The Rocky (doserless) was set up next to Miss Silvia. Though I have only used Rocky for two days, I can say every shot has been perfect and consistent with what I wanted to produce.
I now believe those who in the past have said in different forums, that the grinder should not be short changed, my late experience has proved that.
Thanks Rancillio for quality products that work as advertised.
