Capresso Coffee Pot September 6, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous person from Laredo, TX United States
I bought this coffee pot 2 years ago with an open mind.  It has made wonderful coffee and is great for my husband and I.  My coffee has stayed hot, and I will buy another one when I need to.

Very Disappointed March 12, 2012
Reviewer: Edward Barcik from Mentor, OH United States
I purchased this unit in September 2011 to replace my existing coffee machine with integral grinder. I thought I did all the necessary research only to find I was wrong.
I’ve tested every way possible and cannot get the coffee to brew over 162°F which is unacceptable and the beverage is merely lukewarm after an hour or so.
I’ve spoken to the customer service people and they sent me a new carafe and the same holds true.
I expressed my dissatisfaction about the matter and they had nothing more to say. As you very well know, the unit boasts brewing temperature at 200° but mine rarely gets over 160° so there’s obviously an issue with the design.

I would not purchase this unit again.

Capresso Grind and Brew December 7, 2011
Reviewer: G. Zervos from Binghamton, NY United States
This coffeemaker is the best one I purchased yet. It makes an awesome cup of coffee. The grinder leaves no mess, it is simple to use, and the carafe keeps the coffee hot. I have used paper filters with no problem. Well constructed and well worth the money.    It is nice to see a company that cares about it's customers like JL Hufford with great prices, pleasant customer service, and fast free shipping.

Very Nice Improvement Over Older Models July 5, 2011
Reviewer: GDK from Fort Lauderdale, FL United States
Impressed so far.  I owned the original model for nearly 12 years which brewed a great cup; but had to grind more beans to get the right strength.  This model appears to grind the right amount the first time; we'll see after some time if that continues to be the case.  Coffee temp is right; thermal carafe keeps it hot for a good few hours; long enough for us to finish a pot.  Need to take the carafe out from under the machine or the heat will escape cooling the coffee.    Two negatives: 1) There is a little steam vent at the top of the machine, steam still escapes out of the front from the filter basket section and condenses out on the electronics panel. Afraid over time it will damage/short the electronics; time will tell. 2) Filter basket is no longer a #4 cone, but a flat basket.  The best brews I've had were with the #4 cone; this one seems to do a good job.  All-in-all I like this model very much.  I hope it's made as well as the first model I owned that last a long time.

DO NOT BUY THE CAPRESSO TS 465 GRIND AND BREW December 20, 2010
Reviewer: Stephen  Kapner from Scarsdale, NY United States
I bought this machine in December 2009 with much anticipation.  For the first week I enjoyed it completely then it stopped brewing.  I received a replacement machine then with a carafe that leaked.  Once that was replaced I again enjoyed the machine for several months till the lights on the panel failed to work.  Another replacement. Six weeks later the brewing mechanism failed.  Again a replacement was sent.  This time the entire unit leaked creating a flood in the kitchen.  Capresso denied that the unit could have been defective when shipped thus it had to be the shippers fault (no signs of damage to the box).

After ten months and five breakdowns I am done with Capresso.  I will move on to a machine that I can rely on to give me a good cup of coffee each morning.
