Very messy and the grind sticks in the machine every couple days, and you have to take it a part to clean the stuck grind.

Note from JL Hufford:
Clogging of this nature comes from 3 different preventable causes. We are trying to reach out to this customer to assist.

1. Grinding too finely with beans that are too dark (dark chocolate or black in color) and oily or with flavored coffee beans. No countertop grinder performs well with those types of beans, but a more powerful one would likely require less cleaning.

2. Grinding coffee that has just been removed from the refrigerator or freezer. When beans are removed from refrigeration, moisture in the air forms condensation on the beans. When ground, the water mixes with the coffee and clogs.

3. Adjusting the grinder to a finer setting while the grinder motor is turned off. All grinder adjustments should always be done while the grinder motor is operating.

Over the last few months I've spent a lot of time looking for a nice, long lasting grinder that wouldn't break the bank. I truly found it in the Capresso Infinity. This thing is top notch, especially for $140. I bought the brushed chrome unit and it's really well built (very compact and feels solid). I looked at several other brands in the $150-200 range and this thing just stands out. Once I used it I knew I'd made a great decision. It'll grind for any type of preparation (drip, espresso, Turkish, etc) you'll ever need. And it does so in a quiet, timely manner. I can't comment on the cheaper ABS version, but I really like the die cast housing. It adds a lot of weight to the unit and practically eliminates any static. All parts (bean hopper, lid, grounds catcher) fit very well. The best overall feature would have to be the ability to be taken apart and cleaned very easy and fast without having to find your previous settings. Put it back together and you're right back where you left off. Buy one and you'll agree. Later!

Absolutely the best "residential" grinder I have ever owned or seen elsewhere. Very quiet, exceptional grind, low velocity burrs, seems like the perfect home grinder. Actually does better job grinding than commercial grinders I have used in stores. Highly recommended!

I needed to replace my blade grinder and decided to go to a burr grinder.  I read lots of reviews and did all the research I could on the different types of burr grinders before settling on this one.  It does everything it's designed to do. I'm very pleased with the low static it produces.  I'd read a lot about the mess some of them made, so I'm very pleased with this one.  Holds enough beans, is very easy to fill and use.  I highly recommend this product.
