Integrated Conical Burr Grinder
We really are thrilled that Saeco has finally introduced an automatic drip coffee maker with a built-in conical burr grinder. Conical burr grinders are better for drip coffee than any other type of household grinder. The burrs turn slowly to prevent the beans from heating up and losing flavor. Nine fineness settings allow for an ideal grind size for light, medium, or medium-dark beans (the lighter the bean, the finer the setting). Simply close the gold tone brew basket door, turn on the brew cycle (or set the Auto On), and the Saeco Bean to Brew Top Glass does the rest of the work for you. It will even remind you to check that you placed the filter basket in the holder (admit it, we've all forgotten to do that at least one time).

It also offers you the choice to brew from pre-ground coffee if you need a quick decaf or flavored coffee and do not want to change your beans. An AM/PM Programmable Clock/Timer lets you set the time when to grind and brew automatically.
