Simple Pod Espresso
Nuova Simonelli designed the Jazz Plus to exclusively brew with E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) pods. E.S.E. pods are pre-packaged ground coffee measured perfectly (7 grams) to brew 1 shot of espresso and are available from both Illy and Lavazza. Brewing with the Jazz Plus is as easy as inserting one pod and then pressing a button. Simply lift the sliding door on the left side of the Jazz and place the the ESE pod into the filter basket. Close the door and press the coffee brewing button and press it once again when the Jazz has dispensed your desired beverage size.
Dual Brass Boiler Design
The Nuova Simonelli Jazz Plus was designed with the busy office in mind. The Jazz Plus includes a boiler dedicated to espresso and one dedicated to steam and hot water so your employees can quickly get their coffee fix without waiting for the Jazz to heat up or cool down. The dedicated espresso boiler is a 14 ounce brass boiler that sits atop the brew group to ensure the optimal brewing temperature. The Jazz Plus' steam boiler is a 1 liter brass behemoth with 1500 Watt heating element. It will supply you with unlimited steam pressure for making perfectly frothed or steamed milk for cappuccinos and lattes. Nuova Simonelli equipped the Jazz Plus with automatic water lever monitoring and filling, so you don't ever have to worry about running the boiler dry. Then Jazz also monitors the 78 ounce water tank and alerts you if it is empty.
Easy Use Control Panel
The Nuova Simonelli Jazz Plus has an intuitive control panel with three large illuminated push buttons: one for steaming, one for dispensing hot water, and one for brewing. Three lights above the buttons indicate power on or refill water reservoir. Press the coffee button and start brewing your favorite ESE coffee pod. Press the steaming button while a cup of milk is under the wand and you will have rich, creamy frothed milk in no time. Pressing the hot water button pulls steaming water for tea, cocoa, and even soup.
Programmable Temperature Setting
While Nuova Simonelli engineered the Jazz Plus to require minimal user interaction, they did sneak in a temperature adjustment feature. Hidden away so that unauthorized users cannot "tinker" with it, the Jazz Plus lets you change the coffee brewing temperature from 176 to over 200 degrees. Please refer to the Jazz Plus' user manual to make this adjustment as it would not be obvious by looking at the control panel.
Adjustable Espresso Strength
The Nuova Simonelli Jazz Plus offers you the ability to change the strength of your espresso. Included in your box are 3 filter baskets: one for mild, one medium, and one strong. While each basket holds only 1 ESE pod, the holes stamped in them vary in diameter. Just by looking at them, it's difficult to tell the difference, but the mild basket has the largest holes and the strong basket has the smallest. As the holes get smaller, the brewing pressure increases while the water flow slows down. The strong basket is recommended if you want the Jazz Plus to create the closest match to coffee shop espresso.
Active Cup Warming Platform
On top of the Nuova Simonelli Jazz Plus is a large platform to easily store latte cups and espresso shot glasses. Because the delicate aroma of espresso fades as the temperature falls, the platform is heated to keep your cups hot and ready to use.

Nuova Simonelli has built the Jazz Plus to last a lifetime and they back it with a 2 year warranty! The first year is a full one year parts and labor warranty serviced through JL Hufford. Nuova Simonelli now also includes a second year parts-only warranty for service at any Nuova Simonelli authorized repair center.
