All Open-Box Kitchen Electrics products including Coffee and Espresso Machines have a 10 Day Satisfaction Period which starts from the date of delivery. These products may be returned for exchange or store credit only. After the 10 Day Satisfaction Period, manufacturer’s warranty applies. Open Box Special items may have superficial scratches, minor dents, scuffs, or stains, but all have been cleaned and bench tested prior to shipping, and all are guaranteed to arrive in proper functioning condition. Durable and Handsome Body
The La Pavoni Lusso boasts beauty and brawn with a polished chromed exterior and sleek highly modern appearance. A generous 32 oz side-loading water reservoir holds enough water for dozens of shots before its time to refill. The machine is accented by a polished metal drip grid that covers an ABS plastic drip tray. Three rugged rocker switches, one for power, one for brewing, and one for steaming, mean making espresso, cappuccino, and latte couldn't be easier. In addition, a water level site is located behind the brew group. This handy feature means that you don't have to open the reservoir in order to see how much water is left.
Easy Brewing Porta-Filter
The porta-filter is the handle device that holds the ground coffee. The La Pavoni Lusso makes use of a special 6 oz pressurized aluminum porta-filter. Whereas traditionally, espresso brewing has been an exacting art requiring precise coffee type, coffee grind size, and tamping pressure, the La Pavoni's pressurized porta-filter is forgiving enough for beginners. The Lusso's 53 mm porta-filter comes equipped with both a single and double porta-filter basket, as well as a pod basket for ESE espresso pods such as Illy and Lavazza. Brewing espresso is no longer a time-consuming ordeal.
Heavy Duty Brewing System
Although espresso machine boilers can be made out of different metals, some metals, like aluminum, corrode easily and can add unpleasant flavor to the espresso. The 5 oz boiler in the La Pavoni Lusso is made out of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, for optimal heat retention and resistance to corrosion.
Dual Frothing Systems
The La Pavoni Lusso includes two different mechanisms for steaming milk. One, the super-frothing wand attachment, is the standard frothing attachment for the machine. You can steam or foam milk for cappuccinos and lattes with great ease using the traditional frothing wand attachment. In addition, the Lusso includes an automatic frothing siphon which attaches onto the frothing arm. Using this attachment, steam pulls milk through a flexible hose out of a milk container, then froths it, and finally delivers it into a cup below the wand. |
