La Pavoni Stradivari Wood & Chrome - 8 Cup

Product Code: LA-PAVONI-STRADIVARI-WOOD

Italy's rich history features both fine art and fine coffee. La Pavoni combines these cultural prizes into its unique piston espresso machines. La Pavoni's 100 plus years of experience have produced industry standards such as the Europiccola and Professional. These models paved the way for this exquisite machine, La Pavoni's newest addition, the La Pavoni Stadivari. The Stradivari was named after the world famous violin maker, Antonio Stradivari. Drawing design inspiration from the violin maker, the Stradavari has a nickel-plated exterior, triple chrome-plated brass boilers, and beautiful hardwood accents.

A New Take on an Old Favorite

The La Pavoni Stradivari includes the elegant design features of previous La Pavoni piston espresso machines, most notably a marvelous mirrored brass exterior covering the entire machine. The difference? The Stardivari's piston design, inspired by the famous Italian violin maker by the same name. The knobs on this unit are composed entirely of sealed hardwood, so you won't burn your hands while operating. The boiler has a generous 20 oz capacity, enough to extract 8 creamy espresso drinks.

In addition to its gorgeous exterior, the Stradivari boasts a smart and simple design. A recessed switch powers the unit's heating system on and off. After powering on, the water inside will reach boiling temperature in a matter of minutes; the unit is then constantly ready to steam or brew. When you are ready to brew a shot of espresso, simply lift the metal arm (pulling water into the brew head), and then lower it (pushing water out and through the ground coffee). There is no electric water pump to rely on (or to maintain). Instead, this unit depends solely on your own bicep strength (don't fear, it doesn't take much)! What's more, a visible water level bar means that you don't have to open the reservoir in order to see how much water is left inside.

Traditional Portafilter

Crema, the deep caramel-colored topping on an espresso coffee, is what proper espresso extraction is all about. The La Pavoni Stradivari has a traditional style chrome plated brass porta-filter ensuring superior heat retention. This massive twelve ounce porta-filter makes loads of real crema capped espresso coffee with each lever pull. The Stradivari includes both a double and a single porta-filter insert, for small and large espresso shots. Brew a maximum of four ounces of espresso in a single pull!

Fast-Heating Boiler

Some espresso machines use inferior metals, like aluminum, in their boilers. However such metals can rapidly corrode metal and impart an unpleasant flavor to the brewed coffee. The 20 oz reservoir of the La Pavoni Stradivari is made out of triple plated corrosion-resistant chromed brass, for optimal heat retention. In this machine, the reservoir and the boiler are the same container, meaning that you add water directly to the boiler. Several minutes after powering on, the Stradivari's entire reservoir is brought up to boiling temperature, enabling you to steam or brew immediately.

You Set the Pace

One of the most useful features of the La Pavoni Stradivari is its ability to begin brewing right after steaming is completed; or begin steaming right after brewing is completed. Once the water in the boiler is heated to proper temperature, the machine is in optimal shape for performing any barista's task: frothing milk or brewing espresso coffee. The all-metal steam wand allows you to froth milk using the traditional method. The steaming mechanism lets you bring milk to a rumbling foamy consistency within minutes. Once finished, close the steam tap and start brewing right away.

Dual Frothing System

The Stradivari includes an automatic Dual Frother. Simply fit the frother to the end of the steam wand. A hose connected to your milk container pulls milk directly through the line, steams it, then dispenses the foamed milk into your cup. Both novices and professionals will love the convenience of the Dual Frother.
