Precise Tamping System
In order for you to brew that consistently perfect shot of espresso, which is challenging to say the least, Krups developed, designed, and patented this revolutionary tamping system. All you do is fill the portafilter with the desired grounds and connect it to the machine. The Precise Tamp System automatically compresses the grounds as you pull the portafilter into the corresponding marked position (single or double), ensuring every time you receive the best shot possible.
Programmable Automatic Controls
The Krups XP2280 begins brewing espresso when you depress one of the two programmable coffee dosage buttons; then the machine Pre-Infuses the grounds, waits, and pumps the pre-programmed amount of water through the coffee and stops automatically. The two buttons can be set to dispense any volume of liquid if the single or double amounts are not to your liking. The buttons are frequently programmed for common drink sizes such as single and double shots of espresso as well as cafe lungo.

Universal Portafilter
The Krups XP2280 Espresso Machine is extremely versatile when it comes to the variety of espresso it can use. The patented portafilter is compatible with ground coffee (of course), E.S.E. pods (Easy Serving Espresso), and soft pods. The XP2280 is machine-ready to use the pods, so no upgrade kits or additional accessories are needed.
Coffee Ejection System
Another patented innovation Krups uses on this brilliant and advanced machine is the Coffee Ejection System. When you're ready to discard the used espresso, simply hold the portafilter upside down above your trash and press the PUSH button located between the two coffee outlet nozzles.

This replaceable filter is a combination of both charcoal and resin which means that it removes chlorine, impurities, and water hardness-causing minerals. So not only will your water, and thus coffee, taste better, but the Krups Duo Filter will also protect your XP2280 from damaging limescale build-up
Espresso Machine
The advanced Claris filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the machine, causing damage, and altering the taste of the espresso produced. Filters should be changed about every 6-10 weeks or 13 gallons.
2 Year Warranty
The Krups XP2280 is well-built and supported by Krups with a parts and labor warranty for a period of 2 Years from date of receipt. This warranty is limited to defects and workmanship, and has general exclusions for improper use, lack of maintenance such as descaling, and catastrophe. Additionally, all new Krups products are backed by JL Hufford's 30 Day Satisfaction Policy.
