The Jura-Capresso Impressa S7, like its big brother, the Jura-Capresso Z5 exudes commercial-quality muscle. At the heart of the Impressa S7 Avantgarde are DUAL stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boilers. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the S7, and it will be ready to brew AND steam in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the S7's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. Because the Impressa S7 Avantgarde has two heating elements, your days of waiting between brewing espresso and frothing milk are over. Jura-Capresso built this machine to be a workhorse, and the S7 is in fact rated for light commercial use, meaning you can run it hard without the fear of wearing it out.
Expansive Programming
The Jura-Capresso Impressa S7 Avantgarde does not sit on its laurels with power alone. The S7 offers a multitude of beverage programming choices. Four programmable espresso and coffee buttons allow you to save all of your favorite espresso drinks by strength (5 settings) and size (1 to 16 ounces), all of which can be reset if your preferences change over time. A special à la carte button is available to more easily make custom beverages every time. Milk and water dispensing can also be programmed, so you can always enjoy the same delicious drink, every time. As an added bonus, the S7 Avantgarde comes equipped with a dedicated hot water spout, a feature shared only with the S9, Z5 and Z6.
Professional Auto-Cappuccino Spout
The FrothXpress PLUS system helps you to prepare perfect cappuccinos and lattes cup after cup. It automatically siphons milk from the included 12 ounce cold milk container, combines it with hot steam and delivers hot, frothed milk into your Cappuccino cups. Turn the dial to the latte setting, and the frothXpress PLUS will deliver hot steamed milk with very little or no froth for that delicious Latte. Use the programming function to set your favorite level of steamed milk or froth.
Ultra-Quiet Grinder
The S7 features Jura-Capresso's latest incarnation of its steel burr grinder, which boasts both an exceptionally quiet grind and a beam-monitored bean sensor. That means that the S7 actually monitors the amount of beans in its bean hopper using special active beams, rather than relying on error-prone internal sensors. The Impressa S7's Integrated commercial grade steel conical burr grinder has six settings which allows you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to dark roasts.
Ecological Intelligence
Do want your drinks ready for you at any random moment but do not want to waste electricity? Activate the Impressa S7 Avantgarde's Energy Save Mode© to lower the temperature of the unit without completely turning it off. Just as the S7 has two heating elements, it also has two energy saving settings: one to turn off the heating element for steam only, and one to also lower the temperature of the ThermoBlock for coffee. The first setting is perfect when you need espresso all day long but seldomly require lattes or other milk beverages. The second energy saving setting is great when you will have more intervals between brewing espresso drinks.
Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.©)
The unique two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping. With the S7 you can brew one to sixteen ounce cups of coffee in five strength settings. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from extra mild to extra strong. The S7 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.

The advanced Clearyl filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the machine, causing damage, and altering the taste of the coffee produced. A change filter message will be displayed when it is time to replace the cartridge (about every 8-12 weeks or 20 gallons). The S7 will also prompt you when it is time to clean the machine, so proper maintenance is a breeze.
Full-Featured Functionality
When it comes to accommodations, bigger is always better, and the Impressa S7 Avantgarde does not disappoint. The S7 Avantgarde's chrome-plated, height-adjustable coffee spout is one of the most versatile in its class and lets you brew into small espresso cups or in your special Latte Macchiato cups. You can even fill your 16 ounce travel mug without spilling. A 96 ounce water tank and 10 ounce bean hopper ensure that you can prepare far more than just a couple beverages before refilling. A bypass doser for pre-ground coffee provides the user a hassle-free method to quickly change to a different flavor or decaffeinated. The S7 automatically rinses itself upon start-up to prevent that dreaded cold first shot of the day. And the LED illuminated brewing surface adds an extra touch of elegance proving again that style and function need not be separated.
