One Touch Latte and Cappuccino System
The DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 offers an innovative single touch cappuccino and latte system that requires no additional counter top space to use. With the touch of only one button, you will enjoy perfect lattes and cappuccinos every time! The patented design includes a 25 ounce cold milk container with interchangeable lids: one for cappuccinos and one for lattes. Each lid has a milk spout that pours directly into your cup so that you can brew your entire beverage without moving the cup or pressing additional buttons. The detachable milk container stores easily in the refrigerator and has a unique cleaning button that purges steam through the internal parts to prevent milk from drying and going sour. This interchangeable system can also be quickly swapped out with an included hot water wand for tea. All the parts are dishwasher-safe.
Live Visual Beverage Programming
DeLonghi designed the Magnifica 3500 so that you could easily set it to remember all of your favorite espresso and milk-based drinks. Simply press and hold down any of the 4 preset beverage buttons for about 8 seconds and it will enter the live programming mode. When the desired amount of coffee or milk has been dispensed, press the same button again and the Maginifica 3500 will remember that setting every time you brew.
Easy To Use Digital Menu
The digital LCD menu on the DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 is the perfect communication link between you and your gourmet espresso. Not only does it read back to you what settings you have entered, but it also lets you know when your Magnifica 3500 needs you to do anything. If you need to add more water or beans or empty out the dump box, a message will be clearly displayed on the screen. Brew your favorite drinks using any one of the 4 beverage buttons, and the on-screen display will indicate your desired strength of extra-mild through extra strong. Want a double cup? Just press your small, medium, or large coffee buttons twice and the DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 will deliver twice the programmed amount in just one brewing cycle.
Stainless Steel-Lined Double ThermoBlock Heating
The DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 has not one, but two, premium water heating systems to provide the proper brewing and steaming power for you coffee drinks with a very fast cycling time. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Magnifica 3500, and it will be ready to brew AND steam in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time, and the stainless steel lining prevents your fresh water from ever acquiring a metal taste. Additionally, the Magnifica 3500 has a cup warming platform set just above the boiler to help prewarm your espresso or coffee cups.
Direct-To Brew System
DeLonghi designers know their coffee and have implemented patented grinding technology so that "What you grind is what you brew." The Magnifica 3500's conical burr grinder discharges directly into DeLonghi's variable brew group that can brew up to 2 drinks at once. The removable brew group is easy to clean (just rinse under warm water) to ensure a tasty brew and long life of the Magnifica 3500.
Low-Noise Conical Burr Grinder
DeLonghi engineered the Magnifica 3500's grinder to be easy on the ears. The professional-grade, hardened steel conical burrs rotate at a low speed with minimal noise to produce consistent, fresh, and aromatic espresso and coffee. It it fed by a 7.1 ounce coffee bean hopper and has 13 different fineness adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of coffee roasts.
Pre-Ground Coffee Bypass Doser
If you like to experiment with new coffee roasts or have a need for decaf from time to time, the DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 offers a clever pre-ground option so that you do not have to swap out beans from the grinder. Simply add 1 scoop (scoop included) of freshly ground coffee into the funnel and have a custom brew in seconds.
Front-Mounted Water Tank
The Magnifica 3500's 60 ounce water tank is visible from the side but pulls straight out from the front so that you never need to pull out the entire machine just to fill the water tank.
Cleaning And Descaling
As with any coffee or espresso machine, the DeLonghi Magnifica 3500 must be properly maintained to ensure long life and excellent taste. Thankfully, DeLonghi engineers made this process a breeze. To clean the brewing system, simply turn the power off on your Magnifica 3500 and then open the front door. Remove the brew group, rinse under warm water and replace. Descaling of the boiler is also a critically important process, especially if you are not using treated water. The Magnifica 3500 will alert you when you need to descale based on the water hardness level indicated on the provided test strip. The process is fully automated; when the LCD screen says to descale, all you must do is add the solution and press a button.
