Nespresso Coffee Capsule System
The DeLonghi Lattissimas use the ingenious Coffee Capsule System, which is actually patented by the company Nespresso. The Nespresso capsules package some of the finest freshly ground coffee in the world, in a way that no light or air penetrate the casing. The hermetically-sealed aluminum capsules are coated with a food-grade shellac to prevent contact with the metal and coffee. Nespresso goes a long way to ensure these coffee capsules remain fresh for an extended period of time. Brewing is effortless: Load the capsule. Pull the lever. Push the button. Automatic perforation of the capsule allows for water to pass through, and a high pressure 19 bar pump extracts all 900 aromas and flavors. Water is heated to the correct temperature electronically, and exceptional engineering allows for the optimum flow and distribution of the water through the ground coffee.
