12 Cup Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe
The DeLonghi DCF6212TTC Coffee Maker is one of only a handful of thermal brewers that feature a 12 cup stainless steel insulated carafe. The double walled stainless carafe uses a vacuum layer between the pieces to all but stop heat loss. A full carafe will remain blistering hot for up to 4 hours. This makes it a good choice for households with multiple coffee drinkers who prefer that brewed coffee does not get cooked by a glass carafe resting on a hot plate.
Stainless Steel Body Panels
The DeLonghi DCF6212TTC looks as nice as it brews. The ABS plastic body features stainless steel panels on the face and door of the coffee maker, so that it may complement most modern kitchens. A sturdy matching handle is placed on the stainless carafe. Digital display and chrome plated control buttons are easy to clean with a simple wipe of a cloth. A stainless steel plate covers the top of the DCF6212TTC to allow for convenient cup storage.
Charcoal Water Filtration
If you use municipal water, or just don't like the taste of your water, the DeLonghi DCF6212TTC offers the option to insert a charcoal water filter (included), into a rear-mounted filter holder. A charcoal filter removes most chlorine and also other taste-altering impurities. For the time being, we recommend using the Capresso-brand filters as replacements to the right of this page, as we have not received any DeLonghi-brand filters. The Capresso filters fit perfectly and would last for 50 full pots of coffee or 60 days, whichever comes first.
Complete Front Access Brewing
Instead of having to fill water and coffee by opening the top of the machine, the DeLonghi DCF6212TTC allows you to add these ingredients from the front of the unit. The sturdy hinged door swings out for easy access to the filter basket and has a water channel to fill the tank. This resolves the constant problem of pulling the entire coffee maker out from beneath the overhead cabinets every time you use it. Additionally, the permanent GoldTone filter can be removed for easy cleaning and/or filling.
Digital Controls Including Freshness Indicator
The DeLonghi DCF6212TTC offers a digital LCD screen with controls front and center for easy access. Brew 4 to 12 cups of coffee either manually or automatically with the 24-Hour programmable timer. The freshness indicator displays the amount of time elapsed since each pot has been brewed, up to 60 minutes.
Aroma Button
Press the aroma button on the DCF6212TTC to slow down the brewing process and enjoy a more robust pot of coffee with full-bodied flavor. Use this setting on 4 and 6 cup pots. Typically not needed for larger batches.
