New Convenient Design
The new Capresso Cafe Espresso and Cappuccino Machine is designed to be more simple and enjoyable to use on every level. Starting with the layout, you can easily orient the Cafe on your counter with either the controls or the steam wand facing you without impairing the appearance or functionality. The new Two-Tone status light couldn't be more straightforward: Red means it is heating, and Green means the Cafe is ready. The Capresso Cafe is equipped with a fully versatile and locking portafilter (the handle into which you put coffee). The Cafe includes non-pressurized filter baskets for a double shot of espresso and also a single shot (1 ounce) basket. Not sure exactly how finely to grind your coffee? We recommend a grind in the fine range to just at the beginning of the espresso range.
Stainless Steel ThermoBlock Boiler
The Capresso Cafe is one of the few semi-automatic pump espresso machine with a stainless steel lined ThermoBlock boiler. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Capresso Cafe, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the Cafe's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. The ThermoBlock boiler in the Capresso Cafe is a smaller version of the boilers found in the Jura-Capresso Automatic Coffee Centers.
Easy Milk Frothing And Steaming
Making delicious cappuccinos and lattes is a snap with the Capresso Cafe. Its new swivel steam wand allows you to use a small pitcher or even your latte cup under the tip without banging into the side of the machine as with other home models. Thanks to the thermoblock boiler system, steam is ready in about 30 seconds and will last as long as you need.

And the self-locking filter holder makes the portafilter a perfect fit every time. Just insert and turn the filter holder until it clicks.
