After 50 years of attempting to make a drip coffee maker suitable to Bodum's strict standards, they've finally perfected it with their innovative and stylish Bistro b.over Coffee Maker. At first glance you eye the sleek body of this intriguing machine, noticing its boxy shape which houses a curvy double-walled stainless steel thermal carafe. The real intrigue lies beneath the casing of the b.over Brewer in the interior components. What bothered Bodum about filtered coffee machines and why they stayed away, was that pour over coffee machine's taste just didn't compare to their press coffee: ideal temps were never reached and maintained, pours were inconsistent and too fast. They fixed those and more, making a coffee brewer that heats water quickly between 197 and 204 degrees using a copper heating element without loosing heat during throughout the cycle. A wider shower head disperses the water evenly over grounds, and the coffee exits directly into the jug so again no heat or aromas are lost during the move. No hot plate = no burnt, bitter coffee. Well done, Bodum. Item number 11001-01US (Black), 11001-294US (Red), 11001-913US (Off-White), 11001-565US (Green). Regular: $300.00 Sale: $249.95

Copper Heating Element "A coffee maker with french press taste." The first way Bodum backs that claim up is by starting with the water temperature. In order to heat water to the desired and correct 197°-204°, Bodum armed their Coffee Makers with a powerful spiral copper heating element. Even when being transported through the tubes, no heat is lost thanks to the borosilicate glass construction and silicone gaskets.
Wide Showerhead, Titanium Filter When read for dispersion and extraction, the piping hot water leaves the glass tubes and passes through the wide showerhead. This improved process evenly distributes the water over the grounds so every inch is optimally saturated, and all flavors and aromas are extracted. Bodum discourages used paper filters; included is a titanium plated stainless steel filter to further help extracting every desirable flavor from the bean.
Thermol Double-Walled Stainless Steel Carafe To ensure your coffee stays hot long after the brew cycle, Bodum gave this machine a nice jug to receive the fresh coffee. The curvy thermal carafe is made from stainless steel and is double-walled, so you know there won't be any heat or aromas escaping. There is no warming plate on this machine, as that is the main culprit behind burnt and icky coffee.
Accessible, Removable Water Tank One convenient feature of the Bodum b.over Coffee Maker is the location of the water tank. Located on the upper right side on the front of the machine, this ideal placement of the reservoir means no turning the entire machine around to access the tank. It's also removable so you can fill it right under your filtered tap.
Safety Features- Machine will not turn on without water tank in place.
- Machines turns off when water tank is depleted.
- When brewing, if carafe is removed the machine turns off.
