All Open-Box Kitchen Electrics products including Coffee and Espresso Machines have a 10 Day Satisfaction Period which starts from the date of delivery. These products may be returned for exchange or store credit only. After the 10 Day Satisfaction Period, manufacturer’s warranty applies. Open Box Special items may have superficial scratches, minor dents, scuffs, or stains, but all have been cleaned and bench tested prior to shipping, and all are guaranteed to arrive in proper functioning condition. No free gifts are offered except those listed in the "Free Gifts" Section. This product includes a one year manufacturer's warranty.
Exciting New UPgrades
The Ascaso Dream UP espresso machine takes your coffee to the next level with highly anticipated upgrades including the coveted 3-Way solenoid valve to the espresso brewing system, an adjustable over pressure Valve (OPV), and a new 1-hole frothing tip. The 3-Way solenoid valve regulates the brewing pressure and then relieves built-up pressure immediately after you stop brewing your espresso. This all but eliminates sloppy, soupy espresso pucks and allows you to neatly drop them into any knockbox. A 3-Way solenoid also allows for backflushing, a crucial part of keeping the brew group clean. The adjustable OPV regulates pump pressure and extends the life of the pump. In addition, the new Ascaso Dream UP features a new commercial 1-hole steam tip for improved milk frothing. The original Ascaso Dream came with a frothing-aid tip, and then they tried a 3-hole tip, but the new 1-Hole tip gives you the chance to create the best microfoam for delicious cappuccinos without running the boiler out of steam too quickly..
Powerful Brass Boiler
The Ascaso Dream UP has been recently upgraded with a heavy-duty boiler constructed entirely of marine grade brass. This 9 ounce boiler heats faster and produces drier and more powerful steam thanks to the superior heat retention of brass compared to aluminum. Ascaso engineered the Dream's new boiler to also be more fail-safe with its outside-mounted heating element. All other brands in this class place the heating elements on the inside of the boiler, leaving them vulnerable to burn-outs if the boiler runs dry. The Dream's boiler must still be refilled after steaming, but the added protection is most welcome. In addition, the all-brass design conducts heat to the brew group and portafilter to keep those parts hot and to deliver ideal aroma extraction from your freshly ground espresso beans.
Rust Proof Aluminum Body
Ascaso designers, always on the leading edge of innovation, chose aluminum for the all-metal body of the Dream UP series. First and foremost, this means that your Ascaso Dream UP will never rust because aluminum does not rust, while steel does. Even stainless steel will develop rust over time as we are, after all, dealing with hot water and steam. Another benefit to the Ascaso Dream's aluminum body is that the espresso machine is much lighter compared to steel-body machines -- 17 pounds compared to nearly 30.
Temperature Gauge
In the process of upgrading the Dream UP's function, Ascaso engineers installed a front-mounted temperature gauge, read in Celsius, to help you improve aroma extraction when brewing.
Easy To Use Controls
The Ascaso Dream's 3 rocker switches and steam knob give you entire control over the brewing and steaming process. Each of the professional grade switches respond with a resounding "Clack" and are built to last a lifetime. The center switch turns the Ascaso Dream UP on and off, while the left-most switch heats the boiler to steam temp, and the right-most switch starts and stops the espresso brewing process. Indicator LEDs just beneath each switch inform you when the Dream is powered up, and when it is at the proper temperature for either brewing espresso or frothing milk.
UPgraded Steam Wand
The stainless steel steam wand on the Ascaso Dream UP features a commercial-style 1-hole frothing tip to create that velvety micro-foam that we have all come to love. Older Ascaso espresso machines feature a steam tip with a frothing aid that is helpful for novices but creates some limitations for those who have grown beyond the need for assistance and would like to froth just like a professional barista.
Commercial Quality Brew Group
Designed after Ascaso's commercial espresso machines, the Dream group head (the part that accepts the portafilter) evenly distributes heat and reduces "hotspots" for more temperature consistent espresso. The marine grade brass is chrome plated for corrosion resistance and easy cleanup. It has also been designed to evenly distribute water across the coffee grounds for a better extraction.
Heavy-Duty Portafilter And Filter Baskets
Just like a commercial espresso machine, the Ascaso Dream UP uses only heavy-duty chrome plated brass portafilter holders and spouts. The same filter holder is used for both ground coffee and pods, and the Ascaso Dream comes with 3 stainless steel filter baskets for different espresso preparations. Included are separate Supercream single shot and double shot 57 mm diameter filter baskets for ground coffee which ensure a good head of crema even if the grind is not perfect. Also included is one single pod filter basket for E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) pre-packaged pods. We offer pods from both Illy and Lavazza.
Removable Water Tank
The Ascaso Dream UP uses a 48 ounce removable water reservoir, equipped with a water level indicator, that can be filled while operating or can be taken out and filled at the faucet. The water tank is made from clear polycarbonate plastic and can be removed from the right hand side - just behind the steam wand.
One Year Parts And Labor Warranty
The Ascaso Dream UP comes standard with a one year parts and labor warranty limited to manufacturer's defect or workmanship and covers internal parts excluding replaceable parts such as the group head gasket, portafilter basket, and shower screen. Any damage resulting from abuse, misuse, mishandling, lack of maintenance, or catastrophe will not be covered. This warranty applies only for household use in the United States. Commercial use will void the warranty. Additional shipping charges will apply for Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico. |
