All-Clad Stainless Steel Saucepan w/ Lid has tall sides and smaller surface area to minimize evaporation when making stocks soups or sauces. You can add the lid to further prevent evaporation, too. This Saucepan is made using the tri-ply system, which means it has an aluminum core surrounded by layers of stainless steel. This set up yields even heating distribution with no hot spots so food heats evenly without burning. The cooking surface is made of 18/10 stainless steel in a unique sunburst design that helps prevent sticking, even without a non-stick coating. However, All-Clad still recommends using butters or oils to ensure food doesn't stick to the pan. The long stick handle is made to stay cool for transporting pans from cooktop to tabletop. Care

Dishwasher safe, but hand wash recommended after each use.
