Weighing in at 13.5 ounces, this tamper is made of only 2 pieces: the CNC-milled solid stainless steel base and shaft and an easy-grip, impact resistant ABS plastic handle. While not overly heavy, the added weight and balance, combined with a flat piston, help you to evenly press your freshly ground coffee into the filter basket, allowing for proper extraction of all the wonderful aromas hidden inside the bean. This base (or piston) measures either 58, 57, or 53 mm in diameter making it a perfect fit for the majority of high-end home and commercial espresso machines.
