Silvia
Silvia is Rancilio's semi-professional machine. It offer excellent service to demanding connoisseurs of high quality coffee beverages, qualities for which, since 1927, the Rancilio company has been known and appreciated around the world. From the compact bottom footprint to the extra hot cup warmer on top, the name of the game is metal with this machine. Even the drip tray is stainless steel. Inside the Silvia's stainless steel body is a cast iron frame that houses a massive, 12 oz brass boiler for ultimate corrosion resistance. The Rancilio Silvia V3 is loaded with professional features such as its commercial group head and portafilter and 3-way solenoid pressure relief valve. The Silvia V3 has more steam power than any home unit in its price range.
Rocky
The Rocky grinder weighs in at 18 lbs. The exterior is comprised of polished stainless steel with rugged tinted 10 oz plastic bean hoppers. Given the unit's weight, there is no concern that a portafilter will tilt the machine. In addition, the grinder is a "direct drive" unit, which means that the motor's shaft is directly connected to the 50 mm burr plates. No plastic wheels turning this machine, just classic professional components, including a safety thermal fuse shut-off feature.
The Doser model doses out ground coffee directly into your portafilter with the pull of a lever. The portafilter fits perfectly into the holding fork, and a carefully crafted dispensing wheel ensures no wasted grounds. The Doserless model is ideal for those who want to take advantage of the Rocky's 55 different fineness settings, not just the impressive range made for espresso machines. Grind directly into a grounds container, filter, or portafilter.

Warranty And Support
The Rancilio Silvia V3 and Rocky Grinder are warranted against defects in parts and workmanship for 2 years with JL Hufford. This service contract includes free labor at JL Hufford's service facility and covers internal parts excluding replaceable parts such as the group head gasket, portafilter basket, and shower screen. Any damage resulting from abuse, misuse, mishandling, lack of maintenance, or catastrophe will not be covered. This includes damage to the boiler heating element, which only happens when a user does not ensure the boiler is fully charged with water upon startup or after steaming. This warranty applies only for household use in the United States. Commercial use will void the warranty. JL Hufford will pay for shipping after warranty service to the contiguous 48 states only, extra shipping charges will apply for Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico.
