Commercial Grade Portafilter and Brew Group The Pasquini Livietta T2 offers a rugged brew group constructed of chrome-plated marine brass. Its design allows the brew group to conduct heat from the thermoblock to maintain the temperature and flavor of brewed espresso. A professional machine by tradition, the Livietta T2 uses a heavy-duty chrome plated brass portafilter that comes with two pressed stainless steel filter baskets (a single shot and double shot basket) each measuring 57mm in diameter.
Dual Thermoblock Heating System At the heart of the Livietta T2 are two thermoblock heating elements, one for coffee and one for steam. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Livietta, and it will be ready to brew in two minutes and ready to steam in four. Thermoblock technology channels the water through the heating element minimizing the amount of water heated to what the Livietta's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time.
Simple Operation Using the Livietta is an easy and straightforward experience. Three professional-style rocker switches control all of the Livietta's functions. All of the switches are clearly labeled. The rocker switch on the right powers the unit on, and there is a dedicated switch each for steaming and coffee brewing.
Pressure Relief System The Livietta's brass brew group comes standard with a 3-way solenoid valve to relieve pressure at the end of a brewing or cleaning cylce. When the brew switch is turned off, the 3-way solenoid valve activates to eliminate excess water in the group head, drying the puck and avoiding dripping or spattering when the portafilter is removed.
Milk Steaming And Frothing Thanks to the machine’s dual thermoblock system and powerful 15 bar pump, the Livietta is ready to deliver steam anytime. It sports a stainless steel steam wand on the left side of the machine to create foam for cappuccinos, or steamed milk for lattes. Simply press the steam switch above the wand to start steaming—the Livietta features a special “slow start” steam release for better control and user safety.
Hot Water Dispenser Although the Livietta does not have a separate hot water wand, hot water is still available at the touch of a button. A simple press of the coffee brewing switch will dispense hot water through the group head when the portafilter is empty. Tea can also be brewed in place of espresso using Republic loose leaf or bag tea.
Cup Tray And Warmer Heat radiates from the Livietta's dual thermoblock heating system to the polished stainless steel shelf atop the machine where cups can be pre-warmed before use. Up to 10 cups are kept secure and ready to use between the unit's stylish rails. Instant steam is also available for baristas who desire to further minimize the naturally occurring heat loss while brewing.
57 oz. Water Tank The water reservoir is located at the back of Livietta, accessible via the stainless steel lid at the top of the machine. It can be refilled while the unit is in use allowing for an endless supply of coffee and steam. The tank can also be removed for filling or cleaning.
Drip Tray And Grate Cups rest on the sturdy stainless steel drip tray grate, which can be removed for easy cleaning. The plastic drip tray catches spills, and should be cleaned regularly. The drip tray and grate prevent drips and spills from reaching your counter top.
Solid Construction Pasquini's trademark look endures in the Livietta, with a polished stainless steel housing and traditional Italian style. The inside, of course, matters most and is built on a heavy, powder-coated steel frame that resists corrosion and gives the machine superior durability.
Cleaning And Maintenance In order to keep the inside of your machine in proper working order, it must be periodically cleaned. Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals in your water can build up on sensitive components like the inside of the thermoblock which, left unchecked, will cause considerable damage to the machine. In addition, coffee oil build-up behind the shower screen (the part of the machine that comes into contact with the coffee grounds in the portafilter) can restrict the flow of water into the portafilter. This results in an uneven brew with insufficient pressure. By descaling your machine every month and backflushing it every other week (depending on water hardness and use), your machine will be trouble-free for years. We recommend a product like Urnex Dezcal for descaling, and Urnex Cafiza for coffee-oil cleaning. Backflushing is a process that cleans your machine’s shower screen, brew group, and 3-way solenoid valve. The Pasquini Livietta T2 should be back flushed every few weeks to keep your coffee tasting great, and to keep your machine functioning at its best. It even comes with a cleaning brush, rubber backflush disc and starter pack of cleaning solution.
