Simple Automatic Operation The DeLonghi Caffe Venezia ESAM2000 offers you total control over the brewing process without the fuss of learning a menu. Brew your favorite drinks by pressing either the 1 cup, 2 cup, or pre-ground buttons. The dial on the left allows you to adjust the size from ristretto to 6 oz. coffee (2 cup doubles this amount), and the right-hand dial lets you select your preferred strength of flavor. Want to froth some milk? Simply turn the steam knob and the Caffe Venezia will immediately begin pumping out hot steam. The Caffe Venezia will also dispense hot water if you press the hot water button before turning the steam knob.
Direct-To Brew System DeLonghi designers know their coffee and have implemented patented grinding technology so that "What you grind is what you brew." The Caffe Venezia's conical burr grinder discharges directly into DeLonghi's variable brew group that can brew up to 2 drinks at once. The removable brew group is easy to clean (just rinse under warm water) to ensure a tasty brew and long life of the Caffe Venezia. Additionally, the ultra-compact size of the brew group reduces the distance water must travel and ultimately results in hotter coffee in your cup.
Stainless Steel-Lined ThermoBlock Boiler The DeLonghi Caffe Venezia's power plant is its 1350 Watt stainless steel-lined thermoblock boiler. Unlike traditional boilers, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the ESAM2000, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time, and the stainless steel lining prevents your fresh water from ever acquiring a metal taste. Need steam power to froth your milk? Press the steam button, and the ESAM2000 will be ready in about 20 seconds with all the steam you need. Additionally, the Caffe Venezia has a cup warming platform set just above the boiler to help pre-warm your espresso or coffee cups.
Low-Noise Conical Burr Grinder DeLonghi engineered the Caffe Venezia's grinder to be easy on the ears. The professional-grade, hardened steel conical burrs rotate at a low speed with minimal noise to produce consistent, fresh, and aromatic espresso and coffee. It is fed by a 7.1 ounce coffee bean hopper and has 13 different fineness adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of coffee roasts.
Pre-Ground Coffee Bypass Doser If you like to experiment with new coffee roasts or have a need for decaf from time to time, the DeLonghi Caffe Venezia offers a clever pre-ground option so that you do not have to swap out beans from the grinder. Simply add 1 scoop (scoop included) of freshly ground coffee into the funnel and have a custom brew in seconds.
Front-Mounted Water Tank The DeLonghi ESAM2000's 60 ounce water tank is visible from the side but pulls straight out from the front so that you never need to pull out the entire machine just to fill the water tank.
Cleaning And Descaling As with any coffee or espresso machine, the DeLonghi Caffe Venezia must be properly maintained to ensure long life and excellent taste. Thankfully, DeLonghi engineers made this process a breeze. To clean the brewing system, simply turn the power off on your Caffe Venezia and then open the front door. Remove the brew group, rinse under warm water and replace. Descaling of the boiler is also a critically important process, especially if you are not using treated water. The Caffe Venezia will alert you when you need to descale based on the water hardness level indicated on the provided test strip. The process is fully automated; when the descaling light blinks, all you must do is add the solution and press a button.
