About Certified Pre-Brewed™
All Certified Pre-Brewed™ Capresso machines are units that have been factory serviced at Jura-Capresso's North America service facility. Each unit has a factory-serviced sticker on the bottom of it indicating that it was returned to Capresso for any one of a variety of reasons. The machine was bench tested on all brew functions and repaired, if necessary. Since all machines are "like new", they have a full Jura-Capresso one year warranty, which ensures that Jura-Capresso will cover any warranty repair and shipping costs associated with that repair (to the lower contiguous 48 states) for the first year. Beware of other sellers offering refurbished units that were serviced in-house, as the manufacturer may not honor the warranty for an unauthorized product. These units all come with JL Hufford's 30 Day Satisfaction Policy.

Stainless Steel ThermoBlock
The Capresso Espresso Classic is one of the only semi-automatic pump espresso machines with a stainless steel lined ThermoBlock boiler. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Classic, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the Classic's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. The ThermoBlock boiler in the Classic is a smaller version of the boilers found in the Jura-Capresso Automatic Coffee Centers.
Innovation And Simplicity
All Classics are now shipped with a fully versatile portafilter (the handle into which you put coffee). Two regular ground coffee pressurized sieves and one pod sieve are included for use with both ground espresso coffee or pod espresso. The Pod sieve lets you use standard 45 mm round pre-packed espresso pods. So you can use your favorite Illy or Lavazza ESE pod for consistent creamy espressos every time! The two ground coffee sieves let you use your favorite type of JL Hufford ground espresso. Not sure exactly how finely to grind your coffee? No problem, a pressurized portafilter ensures that you will not need to worry about that perfect tamp or perfect grind size every time.
Integrated Water Filtration
The advanced Claris filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the Capresso Espresso Classic, causing damage, and altering the taste of the coffee produced. Simple record-keeping will tell you when it's time to replace the cartridge (about every 6-10 weeks or 13 gallons).
Milk Frothing And Steaming
For frothing and steaming smaller amounts of milk (for one or two cups) the included Dual Frother is fast and easy to use. With settings for latte (steaming milk) and cappuccino (steaming and frothing milk), you will be able to prepare your desired beverage in just a short amount of time.
Quality Construction
Capresso does not skimp on quality components inside of its semi-automatic espresso machines. An 18 bar pressure water pump ensures authentic crema-topped espresso every time. And the self-locking filter holder makes the porta-filter a perfect fit every time. Just insert and turn the filter holder until it clicks. The 40 oz. removable water container with self-closing valve makes refilling water fast and easy for continuous operation. A separate high-speed hot water setting means you can prepare a cup of hot tea or chai in 30 seconds; or add hot water to your espresso coffee to create a Café Americano.
