Stainless Steel Vacuum Thermal Coffee Carafe
The Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS (465.05) debuts yet again as the world's best thermal coffee maker with a built-in grinder. In addition to new advances in engineering listed below, the CoffeeTEAM TS has a redesigned thermal carafe. The carafe itself is still a 10 cup stainless steel vacuum design, which keeps coffee piping hot for up to 4 hours. The new and exciting feature is the lid. The old CoffeeTEAM Therm had a precarious lid that you partially unscrewed in order to pour coffee. The lid on the CoffeeTEAM TS has a release lever just over the handle. Depress the lever with your thumb to pour coffee. Let go and it reseals the carafe.
New Innovative Design
You will be pleasantly suprised with the new Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS. Capresso has kept intact the legendary 1000 Watt brewing system that brews at 200 degrees and has enhanced the CoffeeTEAM TS with a number of key features. First and foremost, the old swingarm style basket has been replaced by a self-sealing ground coffee chute. This new design maintains the protection of the grinder to prevent steam from entering the chamber and clogging it. A lot of work went into engineering this feature, and yet Capresso still found a way to lower the cost of the CoffeeTEAM TS. Overhead space requirements have also been reduced with the new pull-out door for ground coffee that simplifies not only cleaning, but also brewing with pre-ground coffee. The Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS also boasts an easy-read digital screen with user friendly controls.
Conical Burr Grinder
The Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS still sports the ever popular conical burr grinder that has made them famous. The Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS has the same grinder that is found in the Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder and all Jura-Capresso Impressa Automatic Coffee Centers. This grinder, precision-made in Switzerland, turns slowly to prevent the beans from heating up and losing flavor. Four fineness settings allow for an ideal grind size for light, medium, or dark beans (the lighter the bean, the finer the setting). Simply slide the filter assembly underneath the grinder, turn on the brew cycle (or set the Auto On), and the CoffeeTEAM TS does the rest of the work for you.
Fully Programmable Coffee Grinding and Brewing
The Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS allows you to program the amount of coffee you want to grind: choose from 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 cups and select mild, regular or strong. It also offers you the choice to brew from pre-ground coffee if you need a quick decaf or flavored coffee and do not want to change your beans. An AM/PM Programmable Clock/Timer lets you set the time when to grind and brew automatically. The “Stop-And-Serve” function allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee before brewing is completely finished, and the heating element will automatically shut off immediately after the water is completely brewed.
