About Certified Pre-Brewed™
All Certified Pre-Brewed™ Jura-Capresso machines are units that have been factory serviced at Jura-Capresso's North America service facility. Each unit has a factory-serviced sticker on the bottom of it indicating that it was returned to Capresso for any one of a variety of reasons. The machine was bench tested on all brew functions and repaired, if necessary. Since all machines are "like new", they have a full Jura-Capresso one year warranty, which ensures that Jura-Capresso will cover any warranty repair and shipping costs associated with that repair (to the lower contiguous 48 states) for the first year. Beware of other sellers offering refurbished units that were serviced in-house, as the manufacturer may not honor the warranty for an unauthorized product. These units all come with JL Hufford's 30 Day Satisfaction Policy.
Programmable Touch Screen Technology
The Impressa F9 is currently the only Jura-Capresso with a programmable touch screen. A gentle touch of the multi-color illuminated control panel lets you select the cup of coffee you want. First touch one of the three cup symbols (Big Cup, Coffee, Espresso), then touch one of the three bean symbols for mild, normal or strong. These symbols can be programmed to remember your favorite settings in the future. Touch and hold the st@rt symbol until the F9 begins grinding (the st@rt symbol has a one-second touch delay built in so that the machine will not start accidentally if you wipe it clean! There are two additional coffee buttons for a single and double size cup. All cup sizes are programmable from 1 oz. (30 ml) to 8 oz. (240 ml) with the double-cup button producing a maximum of 16 oz. of coffee at a time.
Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.©)
The unique two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping. The Impressa F9's integrated commercial grade steel conical burr grinder has six settings which allows you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to dark roasts. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from mild to strong. The F9 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.
Stainless Steel ThermoBlock
At the heart of the Impressa F9 is a stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boiler. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the F9, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the F9's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time.
Integrated Pure Water System (I.P.W.S.©)
The advanced Claris filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the machine, causing damage, and altering the taste of the coffee produced. A change filter message will be displayed when it is time to replace the cartridge (about every 6-10 weeks or 13 gallons). The F9 will also prompt you when it is time to clean and descale the machine, so proper maintenance is a breeze.
Dual Frother PLUS
For frothing and steaming smaller amounts of milk (for one or two cups) the Dual Frother Plus is fast and easy to use. With settings for latte (steaming milk) and cappuccino (steaming and frothing milk), you will be able to prepare your desired beverage in just a short amount of time. Immerse the Dual Frother PLUS into your milk pitcher and push the steam button the bring the F9 up to steaming temperature in about twenty seconds. The F9 will display when it is ready to steam, and you may even program your desired steaming time after which it will automatically shut off the steam allowing you to walk away if you wish.
Optional Automatic Milk Frother
The FrothXpress PLUS system (sold separately) helps you to prepare perfect cappuccinos and lattes cup after cup. It automatically siphons milk from the cold milk container, combines it with hot steam and delivers hot, frothed milk into your Cappuccino cups. Turn the dial to the latte setting, and the frothXpress plus will deliver hot steamed milk with very little or no froth for that delicious Latte. Programmable! Using the programmable steam button (with auto-stop) lets you fill cup after cup with the amount of hot milk amount you like. The result is always the same taste and no more frothing into a pitcher and no more wasted milk! Fill as many cups as you want then add your shot of espresso and serve identical lattes or cappuccinos.
Numerous Standard Features
The Impressa F9 comes equipped with many features you would expect to find on higher priced units. We will name only a few, as the list is very long. The F9 automatically rinses itself upon start-up to prevent that dreaded cold first shot of the day. Enter a desired start-up time, and the F9 will be ready to brew when you wake up or arrive home. A bypass doser for pre-ground coffee provides the user a hassle-free method to quickly change to a different flavor or decaffeinated. A 64 ounce water tank, 8 ounce bean hopper, and a height-adjustable dual coffee spout ensure cup after cup of uninterrupted beverages, large or small. The coffee brewing illumination adds an extra touch of elegance. With its striking, heavy-duty 3 mm thick chrome alloy front, a chrome plated die cast coffee spout and a stainless steel grid the F9 looks as good as it performs. Only the Impressa Z6 has such a luxurious face.
